Just a reminder, I am judging these based on a certain level of writing ability. This writing ability is that of a high school freshman. That means I expect you to capitalize proper nouns and put a punctuation mark at the end of sentences. I'm grading you all equally and at the same level. For the most part, I will avoid going below a five on the sections that are scored out of ten, and below a two on sections that are scored out of five. In some cases, I will make exceptions. I want to remind you that I am definitely not trying to turn any of you away from writing. I'm trying to show you what you did wrong so that you can fix it.
I'm saying this because I'm sitting here judging and realizing, that my critiques and scores might come off as really mean and harsh. I am not trying to be mean, maybe a bit harsh to get the point across, but not mean. I don't want you to hate me, Wattpad, or writing at the end of this, I just want you to learn something.
That being said, I have four entries left in Fantasy, so it'll definitely be done by tonight, maybe I'll post the results at 7 or 8 and have your scored rubrics out to you by tomorrow. I'm right now just doing my super rash and first thought critiques, but all of them will be edited to a humane level by the time you get them. I'm just warning you guys in advance, I am a very tough critic of literature, but you may consider me a hypocrite because a lot of the mistakes I point out in your writing are also found in my own. In fact, this update probably has more mistakes than I can count on my hands and feet, but I do know a mistake when I see one, and I will point them out.
Sorry in advance,
Thanks for your patience,
May the best book win,
Eliot Everdeen
