I've been working hard I promise. I have 5 genres done, 3 more to go. I'll try to finish Historical Fiction today. Horror/Mystery and Science Fiction, I'm so sorry but I don't think I can finish your genres by the end of the day. I have piano lessons today and I have to do homework tomorrow (I'm in school until the end of July), so I won't have time to judge entries.

I'll work on judging during school though, so definitely this is the last week. I'm sending stickers and scored rubrics next weekend for sure. I promise this is the last week and I will keep my promise.

The rubrics are a little more vague and less line by line in the interest of time saving. I'm still pointing out mistakes, but it's more like, "reread the entire chapter because your wording is wrong," and less, "[insert word] is wrong and should be replaced with [insert different word]." Just a heads up in case you were hoping for a more detailed scoring, I'm sorry.

I'll be reading the winning entries and stuff as soon as I'm done. I'm a fast reader when I'm not scoring so you'll probably be getting your prize quickly. The reviews will be one paragraph a book but they will be honest and hopefully you'll be happy with them.

Thank you for your patience,

Sorry for the delays,

May the best book win,

Eliot Everdeen
