Amelia has been going to summer camp for four years now-- this year is different. This year she meets Luke Hemmings. Luke is the boy every girl swoons over-- attractive, musical, funny, and smart. This would be his first and last year.
On the first night of camp, while everyone was on free time, Amelia and her friends went and sat on the swings to chat. A few feet away, Luke climbed the metal bars and started playing his guitar and singing along. Amelia couldn't help but stare in awe with her mouth agape. She swears it was love from that moment on.
Amelia's friends, being far more forward than she, began talking to Luke. Amelia stayed back and politely listened as she cursed herself for being thirteen-- fourteen next month. Every now and then she would meet Luke's eyes and turn away immediately.
Throughout the week, the girls would strategically place themselves near Luke, knowing he would come over to talk to them. Amelia, young and awkward, embarrassed herself on every occasion. She was so intrigued by Luke and his thoughts and music, though. She found herself looking at him from afar far too often, but she would think she'd see him looking back. She found flattery in Luke's subtle checks, though it was probably just a figment of her imagination.
The two talked but always in the company of others, and by the end of the week, Amelia was 'in love' with Luke.

Throughout the last two years, Amelia and Luke became twitter mutuals. Amelia, being the teenage girl she is, overthinks her life whenever Luke favorites or retweets one of her tweets, which was fairly often-- tweets about love and heartfelt passions and her subtle subtweets to him. His ask.fm page became the most regularly visited site on her phone as she anonymously became well acquainted with the boy of her dreams. Slowly, she got over him, as he pursued more important things than answering questions from virtual strangers, and she has since been in a relationship with non other than a boy named Luke.
