"Professor Dumbledore!" Hermione shouted as the group ran towards the stone gargoyle. Harry and Ron were holding up Jamie between the two of them. Sweat covered Jamie's face and her body continued to shake. "Professor Dumbledore!" Hermione shouted again when nothing happened.
"The password's Lemon Drop,"
"What?"
"Password... Lemon Drop..." Jamie groaned.
"Lemon Drop!" Hermione screamed. The gargoyle moved as a staircase appeared.
"Hermione, I don't think you panicking is helping," Ron immediately regretted his words. Hermione went ahead of them, as the boys helped Jamie climb the stone stairs.
Hermione pounded her first against the large door. "Professor Dumbledore!"
The door swung open and the old man stood before them. He took one look at Jamie and motioned for them to enter his office. "Set her there," Dumbledore ordered.
The boys did as told and set Jamie down in one of the chairs in front of the large desk.
"Mr. Weasley, would you please go and fetch Madame Pomfrey?"
"Yes, sir," Ron responded before rushing out of the office. Hermione sat in the chair beside Jamie's while Harry stood between his two friends.
Dumbledore leaned down so he was level with Jamie. He looked at his student who was struggling to calm her breathing. He moved and away and sat down behind his desk. "Tell me what happened."
"There was a fire!"
"-It destroyed trees!"
"-You have to understand how angry she had been-"
"-And then she fell and-"
Professor Dumbledore held up his hand. Harry and Hermione fell silent. "Jamie," The Headmaster spoke softly.
Jamie looked up and nodded.
"Tell me what happened."
"I was angry... and then there was fire everywhere." Jamie tried to explain.
"Where did the fire come from?"
"I think... I think it came from me Professor," Jamie answered.
Dumbledore nodded, "Can you tell me what had caused you to be so angry?"
Jamie glanced up at Harry before looking back at the Headmaster. "No, sir."
"Very well, what happened to the fire?"
"It disappeared, sir, as quick as it came," Harry answered.
"Professor, is Jamie going to be alright?" Hermione asked hesitantly.
Dumbledore sighed and adjusted his crescent moon shaped spectacles. "If my theory is correct, then yes, Miss Black should be just fine."
"What is your theory?" Jamie inquired. The strength in her voice was beginning to return and she was no longer gasping for air, but her body was still felt like it was about to burn up.
"Have you children ever heard of what is called, an elemental?"
Harry and Jamie shook their heads while Hermione's eyes widened.
"I have!" Hermione exclaimed. "It is a wizard with the ability to control one of the elements. There are four. There is fire, water, earth, and air."
"Correct Miss Granger," Dumbledore stated. "Did you know that the power to control an element is something that can only be passed down genetically?"
