"Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!"
Jamie groaned and turned over to see Ginny Weasley jumping on her bed. "What do you want?"
"Today's the first Quidditch match!"
"Quidditch!" Jamie screamed falling out of bed. She scrambled to her feet and rushed to get dressed, grabbing every piece of clothing she could find that contained the colors red and gold.
Jamie did not just love Quidditch, she lived for it! It was her most favorite thing in existence. She would even be on the Gryffindor team if it was not for her condition.
Jamie ran into the Great Hall and sat down at the breakfast table. She grabbed some toast, deciding she should at least try to eat today.
"Hey, Jamie!" Fred and George exclaimed as they sat down beside her.
"Hey, guys! You ready for today?"
"Of course, we are!"
"You better win," Jamie grumbled. The twins gasped.
"Jamie! Do you dare doubt our abilities?"
"I'm astounded! Hurt! Disappointed! Exsasper- "
"Wow, George! I didn't know you knew words that big!" Jamie joked earning a laugh from Fred.
George just rolled his eyes and began filling his plate. "So, how are you doing, considering, you know..."
"I'm doing as well as I always do," Jamie answered keeping her voice down. She didn't need anyone else asking questions.
The three finished their breakfast and made their way to the Quidditch field. George and Fred said goodbye and headed to the boy's locker room while Jamie took a seat in the stands next to Ron and Hermione.
"We're playing the Hufflepuffs today," Ron shouted as Jamie sat down. She still struggled to hear him through the rain and Ron had to repeat himself.
"I heard! Damn Malfoy, he's going to drag out the injured arm thing for as long as he can" Jamie groaned.
Ron nodded in agreement.
Madame Hooch blew her whistle calling for everyone's attention. "Now! I want a nice clean game!" She instructed.
The Quaffle was thrown into play and the game was on!
Pulling her coat as close to her body as possible, Jamie struggled to see the team through the pouring rain. She jumped to her feet hoping to get a better look as Wood blocked another shot at the goals.
"If we're struggling to see I wonder how they can even see the Quaffle!" Hermione yelled.
The whistle was blown as Wood called for a timeout.
"I'll be back!" Jamie shouted before running off.
"Harry!"
The Gryffindor team turned around as Jamie rushed over to them.
"Give me your glasses!"
"What?"
"Glasses! Give! Now!" Jamie demanded.
Harry hastily handed over his glasses.
Jamie took out her wand and pointed it at the glasses, "Impervius!" She said sternly. The glasses were instantly dry. Jamie held them out in the rain and it appeared as if the rain was not even hitting them.
"There! Now they'll stay dry!" She exclaimed placing them on Harry's face.
Wood looked so Happy he could die, "Jamie Black I could kiss you!"
