"She is not going!"
"She will be fine!"
"Absolutely not! They'll go after her!"
"We don't know that! They don't even know what she is!"
"She attacked multiple Death Eaters! I'm pretty sure they know!"
Jamie sat on her bed as she continued to listen to the argument. Sirius and Remus were downstairs fighting about whether or not Jamie would be returning to Hogwarts. After returning from the Quidditch World Cup, Arthur told them everything he knew and then Remus and Sirius demanded she tell them a detailed account of the night. Furious, wasn't a strong enough word to describe how the two men reacted. Remus was the most surprised to hear Jamie had willingly attacked and sought out fights with the Death Eaters.
Jamie stood up and checked to make sure all her things were packed in her trunk. There was no way she was not going to Hogwarts. Jamie had to, Hogwarts was her home and no one could take it away from her. She looked over at Toast who was sitting on the windowsill and tossed him a treat. A sharp pain shot through her body and Jamie let out a groan. She reached into the trunk and pulled out her lunar calendar. Three days till the next full moon. It seemed the closer it got the more pain and soreness Jamie felt.
"I'm not sending my daughter to a place where I can't protect her!"
"Hogwarts is one of the safest places she could go!"
"Safest places you say? How many times has she and Harry defeated Voldemort while attending school there? Oh, right, twice!"
Jamie sighed and headed towards her bedroom door, she was tired of this silly argument. Her footsteps echoed through the house as she walked down the stairs. Jamie entered the living room to find her father and godfather already looking at her.
"Jamie, could you-"
"I'm going to Hogwarts," Jamie stated firmly.
"I really don't-"
"I am going to Hogwarts!"
"You don't get to make that decision!" Sirius shouted back.
"Yes, I do! I've been making decisions for myself for almost fourteen years! I have defeated Voldemort, twice! I fought Death Eaters and lived to tell the tail! I am perfectly capable of protecting myself! I do not need a wanted convict and a werewolf trying to protect me!"
The room was silent, and that is when Jamie had realized she had crossed the line
"Jamie," Remus said softly.
"I'm sorry, that was too far," Jamie interjected. "But, I am going to Hogwarts and that's the end of it."
Jamie went back to her room before they could say no.

Jamie closed her trunk and locked it. She carried it and Toast's cage downstairs and set both of them by the front door.
"Coffee?" Remus asked as he walked out of the kitchen, tow coffee cups in hand.
"Black?"
"Just like your soul," Remus chuckled as Jamie took the mug from him. The two walked into the living room and sat down on the couch. "You have everything packed?"
"Yep! School supplies, clothes, my owl, and my wand!"
Remus nodded, "Glad to know you're prepared."
"I'm always prepared," Jamie muttered before taking a sip of her coffee.
Remus smiled as he set his coffee mug on the small table. He turned to Jamie, his expression now serious. "I think we should talk about yesterday."
