Tony Stark walked into the main room to see the Earth's Mightiest Heroes all gathered together on the couch, "Have any of you seen Happy or Peter? They should be back by now." No Avenger had seen either of them. "I'm calling Happy." He pulled out his phone and found Happy's contact, calling him. "Happy, where're you and Peter? I'm sure it doesn't take over twenty minutes to pick a kid up from school."
"Tony. He's not here. No where to be found. I've been looking around for him after I waited ten minutes," the billionaire's friend sounded a bit panicked over the phone.
"Well, maybe he's just hanging out with his frie-" Tony was suddenly cut off my his phone buzzing. When he looked at the caller ID, his eyes widened. "Happy. I'm getting a call from Peter's school. I need to go."
Tony immediately hung up on Happy and picked up the other call, "Tony Stark speaking."
"Mr. Stark," the voice on the other end spoke. "This is the principal of Midtown School of Science and Technology. I'm sorry to bother you, but because of procedure, I'm supposed to call to tell you that Mr. Parker never showed up to the detention he was supposed to be at."
Detention? Really? Peter was always a good kid, cared about school. Tony's mind was racing, noting could explain why he would've even gotten detention in the first place.
"I request for you to come down to the school so we can discuss Peter's behavior and education."
Stark sighed and started to massage his temples with his free hand, "I'll be there in ten minutes." After receiving a "thank you" from the principal, Tony hung up the phone and turned around to see all the Avengers looking worried. "Peter got detention!"
"What?!" Natasha stood up from her seat. "Our Peter Parker got detention?!"
Tony Stark exhaled a large breath, "That's not even the worst of it!" He pulled his jacket on to get ready to go. "Peter. Didn't. Even. Show. Up." Tony exaggerated the words as he spoke. "I'm going to his school now to talk to his principal."
Natasha was furious with the supposedly good, sweet, kid she'd grown to know, "I'm coming with you!" Tony didn't see why Nat couldn't come. Maybe once they found the kid, she'd be able to smack some sense into him.
The two started driving to Peter's school while Tony was on the phone with Happy, telling him what'd happened.
Nat and Tony both walked to the school's office, as they did that, they walked past a boy with a very bloody nose, holding a tissue up to it, "Oh my god! T-Tony Stark!" Stark smiled at the kid before walking into the office with Black Widow.
"I'm glad you could come Mr. Stark and uh, Black Widow too. I'm Jim Morita, you can take a seat," he motioned to three chairs in front of his desk. Usually for two parents and their kid, but this situation was different. Peter's "guardians" took their seats.
"Over the past weeks, Mr. Parker hasn't been turning in his homework for classes, which is very unlike him." Principal Morita continued on with his meeting. "This morning he was given detention for his lack on homework, of which he never showed up to. Which hasn't happened in months."
"Peter's had homework? Everyday he comes home saying he wasn't given any," Tony rested his forehead in his hand, beyond frustrated.
Nat felt it was about time she took over, "So what would you recommend we do?"
"Well, if I were you, I'd enforce an hour of doing something educational, homework for example. Instead of whatever he normally does, whether it's video games or something else." Mr. Morita stretched his lips into a thin line. "Now, if there isn't anything either of you wish to say, then allow me to walk you out."
"One last thing," Tony spoke up. "Where exactly is Peter?"
Principal Morita's eyebrows furrowed, "I was thinking you'd know. I guess he didn't go straight home before he skipped detention..."
Stark sighed, annoyed, "It's fine, I'll be able to find him." Back when Tony confiscated Peter Parker's spider suit for that short time a few months ago, he'd replaced the tracker in the kid's suit. That helped now, because the billionaire knew that Peter never leaves home without it.
Neither Tony nor Nat had anything else to add, so the principal walked them out and went to called Flash, who'd managed to clean up the majority of the blood, into his office. "Mr. Thompson, what in the world happened to you?!"
Flash once again stood up from his seat, furious, "Peter Parker happened! I was just talking to him, and he goes and punches me in the face!"
Tony Stark couldn't believe what he was hearing, he had to run it through his head again before he was even able to respond, "Did you say that Peter did this? Peter Parker?" Flash frantically nodded his head up and down at great speed.
"Yeah! He may have broken my nose!" The teen pretended to cry dramatically, even though his nose was far from broken. It wasn't even Peter who "broke" his nose, it was Ned, but Flash wouldn't admit to that, Parker threw the first punch anyways.
By now, Tony Stark was pissed, Natasha though, seemed completely chill, but Stark wasn't, and that was the biggest problem, "You know what, I need to go!" Tony marched off, leaving Nat behind, and pulled out his phone, opening up the tracker app he had on his phone. He'd located him to a small apartment still in Queens and made his way there.
Seeing Infinity War tomorrow and I'm so excited!!!
