Chapter 34
(A/N Surprise! Surprise! This chapter is written in King Bellamy's point of view)
I was working in my study when suddenly someone knocked on the door.
At first, I ignored it. But then the knock came again.
"Grandpa, this is Ros- I mean Mirabelle. May I come in?" she asked from the other side of the door.
I clenched my fist in anger. My granddaughter couldn't get used to her real name yet. She preferred to use the name those filthy humans had given her, 'Rosangela'.
But I had to suppress my anger now. I didn't want her to hate me. Slowly, I would teach her who she really was. And she had to accept it whether she liked it or not.
"Come in!" I ordered.
Mirabelle pushed the door open, approached me, and stood across from me.
I didn't know why she didn't just sit down. But I wouldn't force her to sit if she didn't want to.
I looked at her from head to toe. She let her long brown hair loose. She was wearing pink blouse, black jeans, and black sneakers.
I frowned. As a princess, Mirabelle shouldn't wear such clothes. I had scolded her when she was wearing a mini dress at our first dinner. But she didn't listen to me and even now she repeated the same mistake again.
I was about to scold her, but she quickly said, "Grandpa, I want to go out with Prince Maximilian. You will allow me to go with him, won't you?"
I quietly smiled. At least, she didn't request someone else to ask for my permission again and dared to ask me herself. It meant she started warming up to me.
"So you want to go to human world again?" I asked.
Her jaw dropped. "Ho-how do you know?"
I didn't think she would be this surprised to figure out that I already knew where she and her future husband were going last night. She was too naive if she thought I would never find it out. I was the king anyway. I knew every single thing that happened in my kingdom.
I laughed. "I am a king, Mirabelle. I have eyes and ears everywhere."
She gulped. For a moment, she was lost in her thought. From her expression, I could easily guess what she was thinking about right now.
I smirked. "Yes, I knew what you did last night. Luckily, Prince Maximilian's bodyguard could catch you. If you managed to escape, I would make sure that the three of you would be punished severely."
