Zach's Point of View

--

Electricity rings through my ears, forcing me to wake up. I wake to the same dismal scene except this time more people have joined me.

Casey is grinning at me before she presses a button. She is enjoying this way to much. At the push of the button, I hear a faint buzzing. I turn to the right and there is Frankie. Wait, what?

WHAT IS SHE DOING HERE?!

I watch her wake up from the electricity. She looks so tired. There are bags under her eyes. She is so thin, I've never noticed that before. Frankie smiles at me, glad to be saving me, I guess. Does she notice that she is as stuck as I am? Right now Casey has the upper advantage. She could do what ever she wants with us and we could never call for help or fend for ourselves.

Frankie should have never come here, I'm already dead in Casey's arms, but Frankie has a whole life ahead of her. She can spend it with Sierra and everybody else, unless they are all dead, or Frankie had no choice. I hope it's not either with all my heart, although that might be easier to deal with than Frankie coming of her own free will.

My brain contradicts itself.

'Frankie doesn't like you at all', it says.

Logic, always getting in the way of things.

Maybe she doesn't like me still? But that brings up how and why she got here again! I'm just going in circles.

Besides, I have more important matters to focus on, like how we are going to get out of here. I start paying attention to whatever Casey's talking about. It might be important soon.

"...and with that new found information, I realized that only one person was immune to The Trojan, you, Zach. And of course, to survive this horrible illness and start a beautiful new human race by myself, I would have to find out the cure from you and well", she flicks her wrist at this time as if in small talk, "dispose of you."

"You are just so.. SO-" Frankie struggles for the right words. I understand why, how do you describe Casey?

"I know, it's a gift", she smiles. "Anyways, when Frankie wasn't sick yet, I knew something was up. Obviously, Frankie had the lovey-dovies for Zach, even though she didn't show it. And he felt the same way towards her because gave her the cure so she could survive."

She said with a mocking tone on 'lovey-dovies'.

Frankie looks at me. I didn't give her the cure...right? I don't even know it myself.

"So I had the perfect bait set up. With Zach gone, Frankie would come looking for her love. I could find the cure with two test subjects instead of one. Unfortunately, I only planned for you Zach-"

Wow, how long has she been planning this for?

"-so Frankie, you will have to wait your turn."

"Goody" Frankie says.
