Chapter One: Rum and Coke
Aiden
The strong scent of beer wafts up my nose as I turn around in the barstool. Reese and his flavor of the week Miranda sit to my right, flirting. Her hand slides up his thigh and I roll my eyes, lifting my beer to my lips and taking a long swig.
My eyes land on a blonde across the room and I can't help but look her up and down.
Large breasts, straight hair, a skintight red dress, red lipstick, black stilettos.
The dress is making her breasts flood out of her shirt and I lick my lips in anticipation.
She's hot.
I turn to the bartender.
"Can I get a rum and coke on the rocks?" I ask.
"Coming right up." He says.
I keep my eyes on the blonde beauty, watching as she pushes her hair out of the way. She appears to have an hourglass figure with a beautiful behind, but I won't get the full effect until she stands up.
The rum and coke is set on the bar top in front of me. I nod at the bartender and slide him seven bucks, grabbing my beer and the blonde beauty's drink. I walk across the bar until I near her table. She's texting away on her iPhone with perfectly manicured fingernails.
"You look lonely. Want a drink?" I hold the drink out for her. She looks up from her phone screen, studying my face before blatantly dragging her eyes down my body and back up.
"Sure." She takes the drink from my hand. "Thanks."
"You're welcome." I sit down, watching as she sips the drink. "You wanna tell me why a pretty girl like you is sitting all alone?"
"My friend went to talk to some guy and ended up going home with him." She shrugs. "You?"
"My friend is flirting with his flavor of the week." I respond.
She nods slightly, sipping her drink again.
"And you're flirting with yours." She replies.
I hesitate. "I'm not looking for a flavor of the week."
"Right." She says. "As if that's true."
"It is." I say, reaching across the table for her hands.
Yes, it's a bold move, but what have I got to lose? It's not like I have a girlfriend. The closest thing I have to a girlfriend is my dog, and he hates everybody except for me.
She looks down at our hands and raises her eyebrows.
"So what is this then? What are your intentions? A side chick? Somebody to sleep with when your wife isn't around?"
"How about a relationship?"
"You just met me."
"So? You just met me and you accused me of cheating on my wife with you." I pull my hands away from hers and sit back.
"I'll give you my number, but only because you intrigue me...and my uber is here." She pulls out a tube of lipstick from her purse and hurriedly writes her number on a napkin.
"What's your name?" I ask her as she slides me the napkin.
"Katie." She stands up. "You?"
"Aiden." I say.
"Well Aiden." She pauses. "Give me a call when you get home."
I look at my watch.
9:23PM.
"Alright."
She puts her hand on my shoulder as she passes, and I make sure to turn around and see if my suspicions were correct.
Yeah, she has a nice butt and a curvy figure.
She's definitely my type.
I look down at the number and smile.
She's going to be a lot of fun.
