Barry's bar was desolate and empty, which was quite impossible to believe but greater issues occupied his mind. He was about leaving when he heard the crash of a bottle breaking. It was coming from the backroom that only few people knew about.

Now, Lucas didn't have any weapon on him but the thought that his Ezra might be with people that might be hurting him caused a searing pain to tear through his chest. He barged in without another thought.

His instincts were right. Ezra was in the middle of the room, strapped to a chair, punches and blows where flying from every direction and with the size of those big burly men, Ezra wasn't going to last long.

"Stop hitting him!" Lucas screamed in pain "Stop it! Stop it!! STOP IT!!!"

And then they stopped, finally noticing Lucas' skinny frame in the room. Then they began to laugh and taunt him.

"Go away little boy, the men are working" one said

"What are you gonna do? Tell mommy?" Another laughed.

"Don't listen to them Lukie, don't do it, I'll be fine, just give me a sec- oomph" a punch from a goon cut off Ezra's weak voice.

To the side of the room was his daddy's picture, the great Don Williams, he stared at it and prayed for an answer, a question, a sign. A man so great that the life he lived was a legend that only few dared to dream up to. It was rumoured that he fired a gun with his mouth when his hands were tied and there stood his only son too weak to fight for love.

He promised.

He turned and walked towards the door. The laughter increased till the whole room was shaking.

The sound of the door locking seemed to stop the reverberating laughter.

11 years of suppressed anger came tumbling out in punches and kicks and blows and when Lucas left the room with his Ezra, not a single man was left standing.

Sometimes you've gotta fight when you're a man - Don Williams.
