Song--------------------}

{Ten}

When I see Tyler standing by his truck I run, yes really run, towards him and fling myself at him. He catches me and wraps my legs around his waist before bumping his forehead down on mine. His dark chocolate eyes are trained on my ivy green ones with a spark of pure happiness in them as he looks down at me. His hands, I realize are on my ass but I can’t find it in me to scold him since admittedly I kind of like it.

And by ‘kind of’ I mean a lot.

In inhale his scent deeply. It’s the same dark chocolate and strawberry smell but also with a touch of something wild in it. It’s rich, mouthwatering and very much addictive as I take in another deep breath. It sits perfectly in my lungs as it triggers lust in my brain like a light bulb.

I have never wanted anyone as much as I want Tyler right now.

I dig my hands into his thick long dark hair making a purring sound erupt from his chest vibrating against mine. I smirk a little knowing I can do this to him, make him this happy. The voice in my head is also purring at having Tyler this close to me and I realize whatever the presence is in my head, it likes him. Well at least I don’t have to worry about that then.

“I missed you.” He admits quietly.

I bit my lip trying to hold back a smile but fail, “I missed you too.”

Tyler buries his nose in my hair and inhales deeply but stops mid intake. He pulls back slowly before frowning at me in what looks to be confusion. I frown back confused myself by his expression. What? Do I smell funky now or something? Oh shit, what If I smell like wet dog!

“What?”

“You smell…different.”

“Bad different or good different.”

He sniffs again and frowns deeper, “I don’t know but it’s different. Have you been out in the woods lately?”

“N-No?” I stutter nervously.

“Babe, are you hiding something?” he asks with an intense and if I’m not mistaken a little bit of a hurt gaze.

“I—“

“Hey!” Gavin yells from the porch, making Tyler turn our still clinging bodies so we can both look at him. “Jane, you’re still sick.”

I roll my eyes, “I’m fine Gav.”

“Get off your boyfriend and get in the house.”

I blush at the word boyfriend and unwrap my legs slowly from around Tyler. This only deepens the handsome man’s frown. Fuck, I wish he was mine but I know that’s just wishful thinking. A man like Tyler would never stick with me for long no matter how sweet his words are. This is especially now that I have some freaky ability to switch species.

“You okay?” he asks as he lets me slide down until my feet touch the snowy ground. I hear my boots crunch as they settle on the snow and cringe at how loud it is. Jeeze I really need to tone down this wolfy hearing aid.

I nod, “Yeah, just still feeling a little gross from being sick.”

“Okay.” He says doubtfully, “Shall we go inside then?”

“Sure!” I chirp grabbing his hand, since I apparently find it impossible to not touch him. I realize how clingy I’m being and try to pull my hand back but Tyler only grasps it tighter shooting me a questioning gaze. I just shake my head dismissing the whole thing.
