when you left,
my head brewed questions
no philosopher could answer
wondering if what we had
was a child of the truth
or just another element
in a potion of lies
I slowly drowned
in the ocean of regrets
that filled spaces of my chest
taking every breath
and every heartbeat
owning every memory
the happiest and the lonely
now all I remember
is the sweet taste of your name
lingering in my tongue
and the acrid flavor
of forgotten moments
and broken promises
