when you left,
the wolves have gone wild—
waging a vendetta
against the mystery the moon holds.
Howling in pain and desperation
for burning light and warmth
as the storm surges within
and the cold consumes me.
And I, who was once an alpha,
turned into a rogue—
lost, alone and out of control
in the middle of nowhere
inside my head.
