when I left,
the skies seemed more bland
the breeze felt painfully colder
the ground shook till it broke
and the tears came till I choked
it's as if you casted a curse
on every thing I loved
you made everything fade— punishment for the choice I made
and even with miles between us
I still feel your hands on my throat
restricting me to survive
begging me to never go
