F A L L I N G : (Peter Parker x reader)

"Are you sure this will work?" Quill shouted over the sound of fighting. But he didn't get a response everyone was too occupied. 

After retrieving the gauntlet, which had contained five stones, Stephen had been able to reverse certain things and retrieve the lives that had once been lost.   

Rocket and Bucky had teamed up against a group of enemies. Natasha and Okoye were fighting against Proxima Midnight and Steve was punching at whoever was near him. 

In one quick movement Wanda sent Black Dwarf flying upwards and crashing into  buildings.

Loki sent a dagger through a creature, pushing it into the path where Thor's lightning was striking.

"Why isn't Thanos here yet?" y/n asked through her earpiece while throwing out a grenade to a group of aliens. 

Peter shot a web behind her, stopping an alien from jumping on her, "Maybe he's scared because he doesn't have the gauntlet?" He suggested, jumping over one of star-lord's gun blasts. 

Then the ground shook under her as Hulkbuster fell inches from her. "Sorry!" Bruce apoligized from inside the suit, "I still haven't completely gotten used to this." 

 "Help!" Shuri shouted laughing, "He's fallen and he can't get up!" She said, punching at an alien.

Sam flew above them, shooting his guns at the enemies "When's this Thanos dude showing up?"  

"Patience." Steve told him, punching yet another alien.

Then from a distance y/n saw a glimpse of Thanos clad in armor. He was walking slowly to where the big fight was. "I've come to retrieve what's mine." He said darkly.  

Nebula yelled out as she jumped in his path, raising her sword, ready to strike. The two battled it out but when Nebula was on the ground, Gamora jumped in front of her sister, ready to protect her. Not wanting to lose her again Quill flew to her side while she swung her sword viciously.

 All at once everyone attacked Thanos. He didn't last long and within minutes was on the ground defenseless. His armor pieces were scattered on the ground, some of them cracked shattered. 

 Before he could stand, without hesitation, Gamora was in front of Thanos pointing the golden gauntlet at him and a ray of light escaped it. Thanos was vaporized. One by one, the creatures they had been fighting dissappeared as well. 

Soon the only ones standing were the heros. 

Gamora's eyes filled with tears as she fell onto the ground in grief. After all of the inhuman things that Thanos had done, she still cared. Quill stood beside her with his hand on her shoulder in an effort to comfort her. 

Nobody knew what to do. It was finally over, they had won. 

"It's over." Y/n breathed out. "We..we did it." The shock was present in her voice and her breathing was even again. "We won." She smiled relieved and a few tears escaped from her eyes. 

Peter came up to her and they wrapped their arms tightly around eachother, as if they let go they'd be separated. Peter rocked slowly in his stance with his eyes closed. He could faintly smell vanilla in her hair that had been knotted while in combat. "It's ok." He whispered into her ear, "Don't cry, we're ok."  He quickly placed a soft kiss on her head as he held her. 

And that is how the battle between Thanos and earth's mightiest heroes had ended.

 But of course there were more villians in the shadows.
