Dark pulled away after a long few seconds, his grin wide. He pulled me closer to him by my hips, his dark eyes staring deeply on me.

"Did Nate tell you that too?" His voice soothingly echoed in a flirtatious way. "I didn't want to believe it. I wasn't ready to be a queen," I joked.

"I love you," he whispered. "I love you too," I responded quietly.

His wings brought us down beneath the clouds slowly, until we reached the balcony to the castle again.

As our feet touched the wood, Dark pulled me in and touched his lips to mine again.

"Hey," he said, letting go, "I have some stuff to go do.. I'll be back later." His finger tucked behind my ear as he cupped my cheek in his palm.

I nodded, staring at him. He nodded while his wings vanished from behind him.

I watched as he backed up, his eyes on mine, a cold afflicted stare, almost putting words into my head saying 'You're my property now'. His lips pursed up in a soft smile, then the black mist engulfed him beneath his feet, teleporting him away.

The clouds above began to block out the moonlight now, rain beginning to pour down.

As I stood, getting poured on, realism snuck into my mind. I realized how much more comfortable I was getting now. With who I was now, Anti. With where I was now, a realm where demons belong. With who I was with now, Dark.

Dark.. a demonic version of my once laughing, outgoing friend Mark. Anti.. a different version of my old, energetic self.

Sighing, I turned and headed back into my room.

                                         ☿

I ran my hand down the stone surface of the pillar connected to the loft's railing outside my room.

Glancing down over the rail, nobody was downstairs. Only the fire crackled and roared in the massive stone fireplace near the stairs.

I made my way around the loft and to the large width of the stairs, which were embedded with red silk and gold colored diamonds in the carpet aligning them.

"Woah." When I met the last stair, the castle's front entry stood tall ahead, it's dark wood engraved with an odd symbol. The amber glow of the fire near me made the couches to both sides of mine a yellow haze.

They were curved around in a circle, facing the stairs. I walked over and eyed them, noticing how modern they were for a castle.

Shrugging, I sat on one, enjoying the warmth the fire gave. I leaned back, my eyes closed.

As I listened to the fire, my body relaxed, I got a sudden image in my head. The image was Felix sitting in a corner of two gray walls, his head tucked into his knees as he shook.

The image came closer to him, until he looked up with tears in his eyes. He shouted in fear as a shadow overlooked him. It looked inhuman, both sides of it bulging out and the head extremely thin.

It lunged at him, until my eyes popped open.

"What the hell was that?" I sauntered to myself, sitting up.

"It's just fire. Calm down kid," a voice beside me spoke.

I turned, seeing Natemare again. He sat on the couch beside me, holding his staff, resting both hands on top near his chin.

"Jesus- my god Natemare.." I breathed. "How'd you even get here? I didn't hear you."

A coy smile appeared on his face. "You seemed really focused on whatever you were dreaming about just now. I teleported here as loud as an earthquake," he replied.

"Wait, you can teleport too?" I asked in curiousness. He nodded, standing up.

"Half of the demons here can, Anti." I bit my lip like a child, standing up with him. "Why can't I?" I confronted him, crossing my arms.

"I mean, you can. I'm assuming you just haven't even tried to?" He explained. My back hunched over.

"Well.. not exactly. But Dark once teleported me if that counts."

Nate sighed, running his hand through his hair. "Somebody around here has to get you trained on this demonic stuff if Dark won't," he bantered, grabbing my wrist. My heart began to beat again at the mention of Dark so many times. But it sank to the floor as I thought.. does Nate know about our relationship?

"What're you doing?" I questioned Natemare, watching as he held his scepter tight, tapping the floor beneath us with it.

"Taking us somewhere better for training you," he answered. Dark red fog engulfed the both of us like Dark's teleportation, except Natmare's mist was extremely more lightweight.

It hovered for a few seconds before dispersing into the air, a new room being revealed to us.

"What's this place?" I asked, looking up at the ceiling, which was extremely high up. "Is that like, 250 feet up?"

Nate chuckled, walking slightly ahead of me, his scepter creating an echoing this with every hit it made to the polished ground.

"Close. Only 85 feet tall. Those white pillars hold this room up," he pointed out with his finger at the six pillars lined up on both walls. In the center were statues sitting on a ledge, like gargoyles, except the statues were.. the bat thing that Dark's spirit's true form is.

"Wait, what room is this?" I questioned, eyeing down the statue carefully.

"The throne room," he replied. My jaw dropped. I turned around, noticing how long the room was. At the end were black polished stairs leading up to a throne, one single withered away chandelier hanging above it.

"Why is Dark's true form a statue on each pillar thing?" I continued. Nate turned around to me and shrugged, letting all weight settle on his scepter.

"Don't know. He never told me. It might just be his massive ego or something," he joked, making his way to the throne.

I followed far behind, my shoes tapping against the tile floor.

"Well, is this part of the castle? I never noticed it.." I trailed on. Natemare smacked his lips and leaned on the arm of the throne. "Used to be. But it broke apart from the eroding after thousands of years. Now it's sunk to the bottom under the castle."

"So we're beneath the castle?" I cooed. He nodded, talking before I could say anything else. "Well, lets get you trained."
