Natemare was silent on the way to Felix, as I tried to get my mind off of everything by admiring each crack in the brick wall as we walked along it.

This place was a lot more older than I originally thought it was, maybe a few thousand more years. And by everything I've heard, Dark ruled this kingdom. With Amy. But once she turned to a shower of sparks from the geo he used on her being dysfunctional, he was alone and gave up his role. I wonder how he did that, though.

Maybe Nate can give me more answers.

We walked along the empty hall, farther and farther away from the room I was going in.

Nate stopped at a casual wooden door, looking at me.

"Are you sure you wanna see him?" He asked quietly, his eyes connecting to mine thoroughly.

I nodded. "I.. know his fate from Dark already, it's no shock to me. I just want to tell him I'm sorry."

Natemare slowly nodded, and opened the door. Bookshelves appeared all among the brick walls as one old chandelier hung in the middle of the room. Cobwebs were basically coating almost everything. It was like the library in the main floor of the castle, just a mini version.

My eyes trailed along, until they met the wooden table in the middle of the room under the chandelier. Felix was laying on top.

I hesitantly walked over to Felix, as Natemare stood outside of the doorway.

"Felix.. Jesus Christ, Dark really did a lot of damage to him.."
Natemare remained quiet, looking down at the floor.

I walked around the table until I saw Felix's face, his eyes closed and skin undeniably pale, more than his demonic self.

"I'm so sorry, Felix.. god damnit.. I could've just kept my mouth shut."

Natemare walked in and stood a few feet apart from me. "I tried my best to heal him. It wouldn't work. Dark did some serious damage. His neck artery was even hit."

I shivered and sighed. Felix didn't deserve this. First, he watched me kill myself. Then he spent days in depression, drinking and other things. Then, Dark went into his dreams and convinced him to kill himself. And how he's dead, again, with no choice.

"So.. Felix died twice now. Where does he go now that he's dead in this realm?"

Natemare began to hover as he crossed his legs in the air, as if in an invisible chair. He balanced on his staff.

"Well, our realm is in between heaven and hell, if you believe that stuff. Think of it as.. levels to a house. The second level is us. This is a realm where we can decide if we want to bring people from the mortal realm, or real life, and have them decide their own fate here before moving on to the top floor or bottom floor,"

"But that changed over time as the spirits here who took over, especially Dark, decided to put their selfishness first and only bring in people who they loved. Regardless of them wanting to live or die in the mortal realm. Once the spirits here heard of Dark using the void to bring Amy in without her needing to be drawn in, the whole aspect of us and the realm changed."

I listened carefully as I attempted to not look at Felix.

"But, anyway, if a spirit here died like Felix, however their role played out in this realm was their fate to heaven or hell. Felix.. he was a good guy, he didn't really hurt anyone except for us when he was clueless to how to control anything. He most likely is now on the top floor, or Heaven. But, for example, if Dark died.. he'd possibly go downstairs."

I gulped, fiddling with my hands. "To hell."

Natemare nodded as a sorrow look spread on his face. "We're basically like the balance to both floors. But, if somebody dies in the mortal realm and a spirit here isn't the one who made them die, then they just go off to either floor, not ours. So, that's your answer. Felix is the top floor now."

I stood, gathering everything Nate explained. Everything makes sense now, and atleast Felix was in a better place than here. He deserves it. Now that has my question lingering.. what would be my fate?

It would honestly be better living in either than here. I'm not myself here. I'm Anti.

   "Hey, Nate?"

Nate looked at me. "Hm?"
"Is it possible to go back to the mortal realm?"

Nate was now curious yet suspicious of me as he snapped and stood back on the ground.
   "Why..?"

I looked back at Felix, my thoughts jumbled.
    "I want to go back."
