Chapter 8: Mixed Feelings

By the time we broke the news to the pack, Charlotte, and Eli. They pretty much where told the whole story of what happened, how she was bitten, what got her to come here.

Her answer was shocking me still at the moment. "I came here to ask Seth for a favor."

She points towards me as everyone's eyes laid on mine in the room. And I raise a brow. "Really?"

"May I speak with you in private?"
Terra looking almost as if I should have to ask permission to talk with her 18 year old mother. So I kissed her hand and followed Venus as we walked into a quiet, empty room.

She shuts the door behind her and I nod at her waiting to see what favor she wants. "What?"

"Ok Seth, the reason why I asked for privacy is because I need to ask. Do you think what Terra said was true?"

"That your a werewolf?"

"If so, I need your help."
I scoffed and then saw her expression. She was terrified.

I then roll my eyes. "Fine. What's in it for me?"
I cross both my arms at her.

"You get to spend time with the coolest girl in the world." She said in a joking way.

"I don't know about the coolest."
She then playfully punches my arm.

"I think your the best."
She then shares a stare with me for a while as she breaks the silence.

"Um, lets get back before someone thinks were doing something where not."

I laugh and she opens the door as everyone was eavesdropping.
Then they turn their bodies around rapidly as we entered the room.
Acting like they weren't.

"Hey be back guys."
I said as I grabbed hold on Venus's arm and yanked her outside.

"What?"

I let go and sighed. "The next four weeks are gonna be tough. Because, if this wolf thing is true. Than I need you to be prepared. I will teach you how to fight, feed, and most importantly...To survive this."

She gulped. "What if I don't?"

"I'm sorry?"

"Seth come on, we both know you barely did. I just hope you know that we have to prepare the others as well for what the downside of this can be. Don't lose hope, but don't put to much into it."
I then looked away from her while thinking, she was dead. And when I thought she was gone forever I felt as if I lost myself.

I can't lose her again.

"I know."
I said nodding in a understanding gesture.

"Look, things are bad over where Aron and Cameron are."

"How bad?"
She didn't say. Instead she wondered her eyes around the porch, landscape, except me.

"Look, you and Aron...I was really a jerk. You two are really happy, and you make Aron a total different person where he just isn't that big of a doosh."

She then giggles and stopped immediately as I continued.

"I think in a way, your good for him."
She smiles weakly at me and sits down on the last step.

I plop down beside her.

"Aron is different Seth. He is a full demon where I don't know if he is even capable of being saved this time. What if he's really gone this time?"
She stares out in space while waiting for an answer.

"He isn't. We'll find a way, and in order to do so we have to go find them. Make a plan up to save him. Think about it, what is it that would make him want to feel again?"
