Chapter 13: The Truth

~Mason~

I walked outside as I saw Seth and the others talking to someone. He shook her hand and smiled. I then saw as Seth moved out of blocking her.

That it was a beautiful girl. Probably the only girl in this entire world that had eyes so blue that could light up the night sky.

She had black hair that the moon reflected off her head. And she turned to look at me. Her eyes, those eyes.

This was something, there was something about her that drew me in like nothing ever before.
I smirked as she smiled back at me.

I couldn't take my eyes off of her.

I wanted her, I needed her. Even though I don't know her...I want to.

"Hey come meet Riley!" Yelled Seth as I came over and noticed. The girl I couldn't help but think about was named Riley.

"Nice to meet you." She said as she held her hand out.

I took it awkwardly. "You too, so welcome to the pack."

"Thanks. I can't wait to get to know you more."
She then walks inside the house as Venus and Aron walk out side by side.

"Guess we can go back in." I said as I walked inside hoping to find her again.

She was in the kitchen. "Hello?"
I sneek around the corner and find her drinking a glass of wine.

"Oh sorry I'll leave." She gets up.

"No don't. I want you to stay." I said as she sits back down.

"So who are you? Never say your name. But by the looks, I already have you figured out."

"You do don't you?"
I sat down across from her.

"Yeah. Your the type of guy who settles for the right person at the right time, hates being alone, loves being the alphas sidekick, and the looks of it are outgoing."

I laughed.

''Anything else?"

"Yeah you seem to have your eyes open more clearer than others. You like being strong, and also being a wolf unlike them."

"Well, you forgot one thing."

"What's that?"
I smiled.

"I am also fun to hangout with."
I grabbed the wine and sipped from the bottle. "Easy now I need some for me too."

We shared a laugh and then for the first time in my life. I feel complete.

~Venus~

I walked along side with Aron in silence until I said something.
We reached the back side of the house as I saw the barn.

Thinking about Seth as I stared at it then spoke shaking the feeling off.

"Aron about us you need to say something-"
He then cuts me off.

"I can't feel anything. Not anymore it feels like at least. Whatever has been done to me, I just can't cry, I see she is dead and all I do is say goodbye. What kind of father is that?"
He sounded so normal but his face looked so upset.

I was not sure what to say except what I always do say to him. What's best for him.

"You'll survive this. You can break through your own monster just let go. Find your emotional trigger."

"I can't!" He shouted finally but he didn't look angry. Then sarcastically laughed.

"I can't. You see I am bad, everywhere I go the darkness follows. So why keep trying to save me. Why do you keep trying to save me when it's so hopeless!?"
