Chapter 2: Safety First

By the time we got out of there we all where at my house. Charlotte walked by me and handed me a first aid kit she found on the counter.

"Thanks." I smiled at her weakly and then began working on my hand.

Terra and Eli start boarding up the house. "Wait, I thought we'd be safe?"

"Yeah but you never can be sure."
Then they continued.

"Great, my house is gonna look like crap."

They all roll their eyes at me as my father corrects me, "My house. Do you pay rent?"

"I try."
I stitched the last thread in my hand and cut it. "Ah, this sucks."
I said trying to make a joke about it.

''Don't be such a baby wolfie." Said Charlotte as she leans on the counter next to me.

I then look over at Eli who was staring at me across the room. Then I looked back at her. I just nodded at her.

Then I got back to what I was doing.
"Are you ok?"

"Just, tired that's all."
I shrugg and bandage my hand.

"Done."

"See, your stronger than you think wolfie."
She winks at me and skips over to Eli.

I smiled and see Terra looking down at me. "Hey any of you guys need some help?"

"Actually yeah give Terra a hand while I go to the bathroom."

"Um Rogger I think where fine."

"I'm not, I need to pee."
Terra makes a disgusted face and I walk over to help hammer nails in.

"You don't need to help." She says annoyed.

"Yes I do."
I said as I hit the nail through all the way in the wood. "Oops."
I smiled and Terra giggled.

"Why are you ignoring me anyways?"

"I'm not it's just, do you like her?"
She turns at Charlotte's direction and I follow.

"Charlotte? This again are you serious?"

"I just think flirting was going on over there. The winking, smiling, the...nicknames."

"Oh my gosh, I thought I was paranoid when I was with Venus."

"That's not funny Seth."
She drops the hammer and walks away to the bathroom as Rogger steps out.

"What's with her?"
He asks.

"I never know anymore." I sighed and dusted my hands off.

~Aron~

"What is it?"

I stood in Cameron's apartment as I sat down next to him on the couch.

"I have a surprise for you my dear brother."

"Is that so?"
I smiled as I leaned back in the couch

"Yes, but you must wait. I cannot tell yet."

"Ok. When?"

"Soon."
He picks up a champagne bottle and pops it open. He pours some red wine into his wine glass and hands me one as well.

"Now enough talk. We need to start planning our arrival."

"They will be expecting us you know that to well Cameron."

"I know. That is the point, but they won't be as strong as us combined."

''There you are right. Let's celebrate the last night of hiding."
We then clink glasses and sip our wine.

"Tomorrow, we will get our life back."
