Chapter 29: What's Underneath

I hunted, I had to when all I could think of was feeding on my friends. Cameron came with me being a good friend.

I still don't know what we are.

"You good?"

I nod as I wiped my mouth full of animal blood. He then pulls me in his arms hugging me. "I'm so proud of you, your not drinking people."

"Yeah, but animals are disgusting."

He chuckled.

"They won't trust me. Will they?"

I pull away to meet his eyes. He just smiles weakly at me. "You've done alot to them, especially Venus."

He then looked away. "I know."

I then cock my head to the side sighing. "Hey why haven't you told them your a hybrid yet?"
He said and I stare at him.

"Because I am scared, they might be afraid of me. Put two an two together thinking you and me from our past, I might be not who they seem."

He then begins walking back. "I see."

I then follow him. "We should head back." He said and I nodded.

"Look Cam that's not what I meant."

"Yeah it is, I was a monster. I am a monster."

"Your not that person anymore."
I grab his hand and he stares at it.

"Then why do I feel like I am?"

I shake my head. "I don't think you are."

"I still am. Even if I still care about you, I have to be honest. I don't care about them. I still have the powers I had before, the one's that made me who I used to be."

I then look down at my feet and he walked ahead of me.

I wake up with Venus in my arms. I was pretty much having the best day so far. I stare down at her as she squirms a little in her sleep. I grin as I  continue to stare down at her.

I removed my arm that was around her slowly and moved her head off of me smoothly.

Then tip toed out of there.

"Well, well. Someone partied hard."
I heard the voice come from behind me. And when I turn around I see it's Cameron.

I roll my eyes at him. "Just shut up, it's not like that."

I move past him and he snatched my arm.
"Let go or so help me."
I said annoyed.

"I won't say a word. You can trust me."
He said zipping his lips with his finger.

"Can I? Can I even trust you?"
I said and he looked away.

"You trust my brother."

"Our brother!" I corrected him.

I then scoff an walk away.

Then as I reach the bottom of the stairs I see everyone was sitting around with furrow brows. Then I knew when I looked over my shoulder and see my brother standing in the doorway with who looked like the guy who claimed was Venus's father.

"Hi Seth, I just wanted to crash the party and check on my Venus. Or else I will kill this man."

"You shouldn't be here Aron."
He hissed at me.

"Aron's gone, I said I'm Stark. King of hell."

I then look at Charlotte who was worried about what was gonna happen.

"Just let him go, and leave."

"I don't think so."
He said, "I have a right to see my girlfriend."

I then shake my head. "She isn't in the greatest mental state right now."

"Oh well not my fault, let me in."

"No." He then began choking the life out of the man.

"Fine!"
I said as he stopped and removed his hand from the mans throat.

"Thank you."
He drops the man and he catches his breath.

"Where is she?"

"None of your business."
He buffed his chest up to me. So close to my face. "Are you challenging me?"

"No. She is asleep."

"Alright then I will just go see her."
He moves past me pushing my shoulder.

"Hello?" Cameron see's Aron and he smiled wicked at him. Cameron stumbled back a little. "Nice seeing you again."

He says as he passed by him. Leaving Cameron confused.

"I need to do something." I said as Cameron stares at me weird.

"What!?"

"She is in danger as long as he is not himself."
I then go past him and to her room. He was just standing there hovering over her.

"Hand me a knife." I whisper to Cameron. "Are you sure?"

"Give me a fucking knife!" He then pulled one out of his belt and gave it to me.

''Thanks."

I return my gaze back to Aron. He was now staring at me. His red eyes glowing.

"Oh crap."

He then waves his hand at me and Cameron slowly as he and Venus disappeared into thin air.

"What now?"
Said Cameron and I just glared at him.
