Chapter 27: Memory Lane

Cameron's eyes then opened and they were dark brown. Like the first time I met him.

"Cam?"

He touched my face still catching his breath. "It's me. It's me."
He repeated and I hug him.

"What happened?"

"Where did they go?"
I pull away raising a brow while wiping my face.

"What do you mean?"

"The shadows! They will go in someone else's body."

I then look up at Seth. "My whole pack is here anyone can be possessed right now."

I then swallow hard and he stands up and I hear screaming coming from the house. Seth runs in and me and Cameron do the same.

We then see Aron disappear before our eyes. An Seth's face fell as he didn't blink, as if he couldn't.
"I guess we know who it jumped into now."

Said Cameron and Seth glanced at him as Venus stares at us with her smeared mascara.

"What happened?"
I asked her.

Then that's when she told us. Everything.
"I need to look for him."
Venus wiped her face clean of tears and grabbed a long knife.

"But he isn't in his right mind right now Venus he can hurt you!"
Said Seth.

"That is why I have this."
She held the knife up showing it to Seth and I looked down. Thinking if this was a bad idea or good idea.

"If I'm not back in 3 hours, then try to find me."
She looked at me and I nodded.
Feeling like this was all my fault.

"Venus your not thinking clearly just let this go I'll take my pack up to New York see if he is there."

"No Seth!" As he barley touched her shoulder.
"I can't!"

He was shocked of her reaction as he moved away slowly. "It has to be me."

She then left glaring at him.

~Venus~

I knew exactly where Aron went. I had a little idea at least.
The first place where we first we met.

That was on the sidewalk across from the school. Next to the coffee shop.

So I went to the coffee shop.

I waited and knew he was wanting to do this in a public place.

He probably knew I was coming. But I didn't care.

I also was right, he was sitting in a booth, the same one we always go in.
I sat across from him and he smiled.

"I'm shocked, how did you find me?"

"I just knew you would be here that's all."
He then nods.

"You wouldn't be here unless you actually wanted to. Your consciousness is trying to break through to you."
I said and he shakes his head smiling.

''I am here for coffee. Only."

"You know you say that but I still don't believe it."

He clenched his jaw. "I can kill you. But I won't."

"You know this was the first place we met. Across the street. Right there."
I pointed and he stared.

"You helped me deliver our child, Terra, right through those doors right outside by the sidewalk. This place means alot to us. Many memories. You still remember you just hate it. Terra died trying to protect us."

I said and he stiffened. "Enough."

I watch him studying his face just to see how much I broke him. "You miss her admit it."

''I miss no one. I hate feeling because it shows weakness. And I sure as hell hate being here for another minute listening to you talk about our dead daughter, who in fact I never showed love to. So enough bringing memories up that I already forgot, and definitely you."

He stands up and slams a 20 dollar bill on the check book as he leaves.
I then sit there trying to hide the tears that were falling from my face.

I watched him as he jumped into a cab and rain poured down.
I remember that it rained the day I told him I was pregnant.

I also was hit by a car.

I just sat in the same booth staring at his half drink of Mocha.

Then I left.
