Chapter 20: Let It Be

~Venus~

I heard the noise coming from outside. I moved away from my bed and looked out the window and see Eli and Seth. Eli was carrying someone.

And then I saw his face. Aron.

He wasn't moving and wasn't awake. My heart skipped a beat. "It is probably nothing."
I at least told myself.

Then ran down stairs and stopped as they carried him in and plop him on the couch. "Ok he healed why is he not waking up!?"
Yelled Seth with frustration.

"I don't know."
Eli answered truthfully.

I then moved closer to them. Seth watching me with his tears on his face. He was wondering what I might do.

Honestly, I was too.

I then looked at Seth, "He is probably faking death. You never know."

They then surprised of my reaction, stop to stare at me. "How can you say that?"

''Even if he is dead there is no way he will come back. He is damned."
I said it emotionlessly and my face just staring out in space.

"How dare you say that out of all people especially! Venus this is not you! The Venus I know doesn't give up on the ones she loves! The Venus I know, hates the thought of losing Aron, and has faith, hope in him."

I then stare up at him as he stands to his feet. "And the person I am talking to now, I am starting to question who the hell is."

He then pushed past my shoulder as he storms off. I then looked at Eli and down at Aron.

So still, so lifeless looking. His wrists bloody but no cuts.

"Venus, someone's gonna get hurt. And when they do it is gonna be on you."
Eli had my attention. "Fix him. You can right?"

"I think all we can do is wait for him to wake. I'm sorry."

I then choke Eli up against the wall. "Fix him. I said fix him, not wait for death."

"Venus I'm stronger than you." He then gasped for air. "I- c-can kill you."

"Not right now. I'm a newborn, which means I'm stronger than you. Full moon is tomorrow, I'll keep your threat in my mind up till then."

I let go of him and he held his throat caressing it with his hands as I watched him cough.

"So don't ever try to challenge me to a fight again. Ok? Only reason your alive still is because poor little sis likes your ass. I don't see what's to like. If I was her, I would leave you."
I then walk away but not before glancing at Aron.

"Fix him soon, or else die."
I then leave and find Seth talking to Mason.

"Hey Seth."
I said as he smiled and frowned immediately.

"Look I fixed the problem. Aron is in good hands."

''What the heck are you talking about?" He stopped walking and looked at me.

"Eli is handling it. Don't worry."
I said battering my eyelashes at him.
He then looks at me weird.

"You don't take a hint so ya?"

"I know your pushing me away only because you care. You have before."
I whisper in his ear and his muscles stiffen.

"What do you want Venus?"
He said in a shaky voice.

"Just to be respected." I move away from him and he stares at me.

"Hey you need to wake up and realize that life is meaningful, that Aron's brother is practically the devil!"

"I know."

''Then stop acting so selfish!"
He yelled and walked away.

Then I hear someone screaming. I turn around and find Eli running on the porch. "Something is happening!"

He told me as I ran in there and Mason was right behind me along with Seth.

"What?!"
We reach the living room and gasp.

''What the?"
And see Aron still sleeping, still out cold. But as he was like he would be laying down flat on the couch. He was in mid air.

"Why is he-"

"I don't know." Eli said cutting Seth off.

''Is it a spell?"
Asked Seth.

I walked over and felt my hand collide through a protection bubble. "What is it?" Eli asked me.

I couldn't put my hand over on Aron's side.

"I think his brothers doing a spell. On him. There's a protection bubble over him, I can't get through anywhere near his body."

"Great. How are we supposed to-"
Then Seth didn't finish when he finally floated down to the sofa and the bubble disappeared.

"Aron?" I said softly, but no answer still.

"He still looks pale. We need a doctor."
They all look at me like I'm crazy.

"He's immortal, he can't see a human hospital or-"

''He NEEDS! A doctor! Ok? Seth help him you have had experience in stuff like this."

He nodded an pulled then felt for a pulse. He shook his head. "Ok well try CPR." I suggested as I smiled trying not to worry.

"Ok."
He then begins pounding on his chest.

"1, 2, 3." Then he breathed through his mouth. He lifts his wrist and feels for a pulse.

He then starts CPR again.

"1,2,3." He then doesn't get a heartbeat once again.

"Breathe." He breathes in his mouth and still no heart beat as he gives up.

''He isn't breathing." Seth began to worry. "It doesn't make sense."

"No. No!"
I then pushed him aside and pushed his chest "1,2,3,4,5." I then continued, "6,7,8,9,10." I felt myself crying.

"Come on! Please!"
I then see Seth being a little sad but is could tell wasn't as upset when he saw me show some emotion.

Some humanity.

And I breathed through his mouth "come on!"

No pulse. "Aron! Wake the hell up I need you! I can't- I can't live without you. You are my life."
I caress his cheek as a tear falls down and drops onto his face.

I then cry on his chest.

And moved away rapidly as I hear a heartbeat. An he sits up straight gasping for air and then catching it.

"Venus?"

"Aron!" I run and and hug him. "I'm ok."

He then looked at me weird. "This feels different. This is..."
His voice trails off as he stand up.

"What?"

He looks at me. "I'm not a demon anymore."
