It was a peaceful weekend and Doyoung had just called to invite you for a karaoke time with some of his other friends. You gladly took the offer, deciding to spend the weekend with them rather than just lying around in your room, watching videos or reading books. It was a great time to have fun with the others once in a while.
Doyoung agreed to pick you up later in front of your house, so while you were waiting for him, you took your time picking out a casual outfit. White and denim could go with the flow for the day, and you skipped down the stairs, stopping in front of the house after telling your mom you were hanging out with your friends. You promised her you would be back before the sun goes down.
Around noon, Doyoung arrived and you hopped into the backseat. There were others beside him too, Mark and Jaehyun. You all greeted with each other before Doyoung proceeded to drive to the nearest karaoke site at a complex mall nearby.
"Taeyong's joining too. Oh, and Taeil," Jaehyun winked at you, being a tease. Your cheeks were tinted slightly pink at the mention of his name. Before this, you were told that Taeil had an obvious crush on you and you couldn't help but feel flustered at that. He did seem like such a kind guy, you would love to know him better, so you hope having karaoke with them could help you gain the opportunity to meet and learn about him more.
"Ohhh, Taeil, he's going to wreck the karaoke room with his infamous high notes," Mark commented, laughing at his own joke. You and the others played along, laughing with him (lol rude).
About half an hour later, Doyoung stopped the car after arriving. You all got out and walked to the gate. In front of the glass door of the complex stood Taeyong and Taeil. They waved at you guys before Jaehyun spoke up, "Alright, what are we waiting for? Let's go," he had wanted to enter it first but was stopped when he almost stepped in with Taeyong.
"Oh- sorry, after you," Taeyong motioned for him to walk in first.
"No, it's okay, you first," Jaehyun replied.
"I insist, after you,"
"It's fine, after y-"
Mark pushed them both to the side, stepping in first. "After me,"
After registering, you guys had walked into the karaoke room, and was picking up songs to sing.
"This song's my favourite!" Mark pointed to a song, clicking it to play, he chose to cover a rap song. Taeyong joined in too, and you and the others enjoyed their cover. After their turn was Jaehyun and Doyoung, they picked out 'Remember Me' from the famous movie, Coco. It was sweet and touching to hear their soothing voices that mixed in with the song.
Then lastly, you had to perform a duet with Taeil, and your jaw had almost dropped. "Wow, you could see the difference between the voice of someone like him, and the voice of someone like me," you laughed nervously.
"This is just for fun, ________!" Doyoung nudged your shoulder, snickering, knowing he and the others were going to tease and make fun of you all day about your duet with Taeil. You looked at Taeil and offered a smile.
"You choose the song,"
"It's fine, you can go ahead and ch-"
"Can you guys seriously just decide together- ow!" he was hit on the shoulder by Mark who was shushing him. "Let them have their moment!" he half whispered half yelled.
You and Taeil went through the songs recommended together until a perfect song came up. "This one sounds good," Taeil smiled and clicked on it after you agreed. Hearing the intro of the music, the other guys whistled and gave you both a thumbs up, like good supporting members they were. Taeil started his lines first.
Both your voice and Taeil's matched perfect with the song, and the others cheered and whistled, bringing in the good vibes, as if being in a concert.

When the song was over, you were both flustered while the other guys gave an applause of their own. "That was amazing, ________, Taeil hyung!" Doyoung praised.
For the last few songs, they all had their fun with Westlife's Uptown Girl and Marteen's We Cool while you joined in some lines too, it was a load of fun throughout the song. When the time was over, Taeyong chose to get into Doyoung's car while you were pushed towards Taeil, so that he could bring you home instead. Seriously, the guys were such a tease.
"Byee, Taeil hyung! Have fun!" Taeyong winked from the window of the passenger's seat before they drove off. Taeil's face flushed red before locking his gaze with you. "Right, c'mon," he smiled and guided you towards his car. The ride from the complex all the way back to your house was not really awkward, it was rather peaceful. You gave him directions to your place along the ride, sometimes making small talk.
When he stopped in front of your house, you thanked him. "Thanks for the ride. Oh, by the way, your singing voice was amazing!" you complimented him, making him look away in embarassment.
"It's not that great. But it would be nice if we had a duet together again," he shrugged, laughing lightly. He held up his phone and turned it on, handing it to you, "Hey, by the way, can I have your number? ...I mean, you know, because-"
"Yeah, yeah, I get it," you laughed back, typing your phone number on it before handing it back to him. You gave him your phone to exchange his number to you too. After that was done, you kept your phone in your pocket. "Well, see you later," he said.
"Yeah," you grabbed the chance to lean up to him and pecked his cheek before getting out of the car and giving him a wave, stepping in your house and closing the door, probably landing on the bed and spazzing over how crazy you were for acting like that.
Meanwhile, Taeil's face was as red as a tomato all along the ride back to his own place.
