___________ fished out a coin from her pocket, aiming to toss it at the fountain. when it landed effortlessly in the crystal clear water, she clasped her hands together and shut her eyes close, making a wish.

___________ liked waking up early in the morning. because everyday before school starts, she would head to the garden at the neighbourhood nearby, a place she often visited to, especially around the fountain area. they say if you toss a coin there and make a wish, it would definitely come true. and over the years, _________ had only one wish, waiting for it to be granted. she knew it will come true, she just had to wait.

'please.. please.. pleaaase, i wish—'

"good morning!!!" a pair of hands grabbed her shoulders from behind. poor girl jumped in shock and spun around to face a tall boy grinning widely, showing his teeth.

"yah, do you want me to go deaf?! if you wanted to greet korea a good morning, you don't have to shout in my ear! i swear, you're worse than that one junior who screams really loud everyday—"

"sorryyy!!" he replied, loudly, anyways before tossing a coin in the fountain and making a wish. a short while later, he faced _________. "what was your wish?"

"people don't tell others their wish, yukhei, i told you like.. a thousand times already,"

"ohhh yeahh, i forgot," he slung an arm over her shoulder, dragging her to walk towards school. "i wished for someone to notice me though. 'cause, like, i reaaally like her—"

"i just told you people don't expose their wishes, aigoo, you stupid tree!" the girl facepalmed, making yukhei stopped in his tracks.

"oh my god!!! yeah!! i've been exposed!!"

"your own fault," __________ rolled her eyes before they started to walk again. "you like someone? you have a crush?"

"hehe, yep," he bursted into a small laugh.

on the other hand, without the young man noticing, there was a slight change in _________'s expression, but she teased him to hide it. "then why can't you just confess to her? ask her out on a date or something?"

"aish, you say that as if it's so simple,"

"well, i don't know, you have girls head over heels for you, bowing down on your feet, mr. popular," the girl shrugged. "who is it though?"

"i'm not telling who!" his cheeks were slightly tinted in pink, looking away.

"it's not like i'll expose your cute little crush to the whole school or anything," she pinched her cheek, smiling. "at least describe her!"

"hmm, fine, fine," yukhei grinned sheepishly. "she's really smart, outgoing, pretty, she likes keeping her hair down," he listed off, an obvious emotion of love shown on his face.

meanwhile, __________ automatically had an idea of who it was in her head. 'huh.. sounds like a kim yerim,'

they arrived at the school building after a while of walking, just in time. "well, see you later during lunch, _________!" yukhei waved and skipped away, leaving the girl with her own thoughts.

'guess i'd have to wish harder,'
