So hello! Welcome to my little... train. Of thoughts, that is. Lets start with the disease known as humanity.
Humans have been roaming on this earth for such a short time in the wide expanse of time that the earth itself existed. However, we have deteriorated it so much quicker than any other species. It is said that without humans, the ecosystem would flourish while without bugs, everyone would die in a couple of decades. So what's with us, that makes so much trouble?
The earth itself has been acting like a living thing itself. As humans try to deteriorate it, the earth increases in temperature throughout, slowly making everyone feel less comfortable. This effect is awfully similar to how a living thing creates a fever to kill off undesirable organisms on it. So what is the earth trying to tell us? That we are pests, just an insignificant being that is bad for the earth?
If we persist to be stubborn and continue to push the earth, sooner or later, the earth will push back. Sure, all the other organisms on earth might die together with us, but the end justifies the means, does it not? Maybe the earth will repopulate itself with all the more resistant species, going through another long string of evolution. After all, we are probably a failed attempt at evolution.
So why don't we just try to irritate the earth a little less? With luck, the earth may also irritate us less too. The next time you think of what a hot day it is, think again. Do you really have nothing to do with it? Have you honestly been nice in treating the earth as the kind host it is?
