"So... I take that you've successfully torn down that heist card?" Haibara asked the shrunken detective as they walked their way home.
"literally or not, both I did... Of course, I've checked that there's nothing left to be picked as clues and The police have their own anyway..." Conan said, still slightly annoyed at the thief.
"Well then, where and when shall your next date with him occur?" she asked casually while Conan gave her the look.
"Oi, Oi, you shouldn't have mentioned it like that, people might taking it wrong." he scolded. Yet, just to his luck, someone has already mistaken as he said.
"what? what? Conan has a date?" Genta asked with a wide grin.
"Eeeh? No way!" Ayumi frowned feeling nervously dejected while staring at her crush with hope.
"That's not true right, Conan-kun? You're too young!" Mitsuhiko added, not wanting to have his oh so perfect friend to date his own crush who's none other than the brunette next to him.
"Barou... It's not a date! It was only KID inviting me to his heist, that's all..." Conan said as he glared at the secretively snickering Haibara.
"Really??" Genta exclaimed in awe.
"Wow! that's amazing Conan-kun! That means he acknowledged you, right?" Ayumi added with sparkles of admiration in her eyes.
"It seems so..." Conan replied shortly.
"So, what did he say?" Mitsuhiko asked, curious. Just like how the rest the group is...
"Well, he sent me a card, saying, as the halloween countdown started and while a Jack Russell Terrier sang to praise tsukiyomi-no-mikoto, an invisible phantom danced all gracefully as he took the star from the depth of ocean... Seemingly, another riddle of his own..." He said, leaving out the mockery on purpose.
The four seemed to think of the meaning behind the words. But even after a while, not even Haibara could grasp it.
"Gaaah! this is so hard!" Genta exclaimed in frustration.
"Mmm yeah, I can't see the connection between a dog, a Jack Russel Terrier to be exact, with moon goddess," Mitsuhiko said.
"Maybe, because the dog hauls to the moon?" Genta said.
"Um... shouldn't that be wolves?" Ayumi said.
"Actually, some dogs did it too. not specifically which though." Haibara said, "-Not to mention, we have to note also, why Conan mentioned Jack Russell Terrier in English than ジャックラッセルテリア..." -and Conan nodded with a snicker.
"Not just that, he also uses all capitals at those specific words, and thus I take that it was no coincidence at all..."
Haibara hummed, "I see... Jack Russel Terrier. If we pick up only the first words then it'll be J R T... wait, could it be... JR Tower?"
Conan smirked, "Aa... it's all over the news, right? that big jewel that's created by Canadian jeweler, Kaufmann de Suisse... the biggest Tourmaline, Paraiba Star of the Ocean Jewels"
"Ah! It matched!" The three young detectives exclaimed at the discovery.
"Then, what left is the date and time..." Haibara said.
"Well, I say, your last deduction is close to answering that one..." Conan smiled at his friends.
"Eh? about dogs hauling at the moon?" Ayumi asked, and he nodded.
"Do that Lady Tsukoyomi dressed her best one specific night?" Conan hinted.
"no... not really. Did she?" Genta asked, truly lost.
"Dressed the best..." Mitsuhiko hummed, "The best sight of the moon...? hm... could it be when it's a full moon?"
"Pippo~!" (Bingo!) Conan snickered and the three beamed with joy.
"Then! how about the time?" Ayumi asked.
But instead of him, it was Haibara who replied her, "My best guess is at the hour of the dog... I mean, why else he mentioned a type of dog, instead of a wolf?"
"Yup, exactly..." Conan agreed while the three were left confused.
"The hour of dog?" Genta asked.
"What's that?" Ayumi added.
"Ancient people of our culture used this method to mention times, by animals," Conan explained. There are many animals, like the horse, the cow, the rooster, and more... In this matter, KID used 'the hour the dog' which is in range of 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Many said that it was because only around that time the dogs actually settled down."
"And the closest time to the full moon within that range is at 9 p.m. so, moreless that's when he'll likely make his appearance" Haibara added. The kids were either 'ooh'-ed or 'aah'-ed before then each of them has this prideful smile on their face.
"Yatta! Shonen Tantei-dan has yet again solved another mystery!" Genta beamed.
"Ay!" Ayumi and Mitsuhiko followed as they fist pumped to the sky.
At the sight, Conan sighed in amusement while Haibara smiled fondly...
Well, all in all, nothing else happened for the rest of the trip...
