Juhyun have been cursing taehyung ten thousands times more in her mind. If it wasn't for the people surrounding her who'll think there was a crazy b*tch looking pathetic sitting alone in the corner of the cafe, cursing out loud while eating a piece of cake (or more like stabbing it), trust me she will scream.
"h-hyun-ah! ......i'm sorry!!" said taehyung, panting through the phone.
Her guess he was running off somewhere impatiently.
"it'-it's.... yoona noona! she wanted me... to be there with her.... i- i think she fainted... or sick... or something...."

Suddenly the call was cut off.
ding! ding!

It was from taehyung.
'Hyun-ah im really sorry. I'll be with yoona noona for a while. I'm really really sorry I can't go to you right now! I'll make it up it to you this night! I promise! Before your birthday ended! Happy birthday my small bunny! You know I love you right?'
"love me?? b*llshit!" scoffed juhyun.

It is Juhyun's 19th birthday that day, aka the worst birthday in her life, yet. Kim Taehyung just ditched juhyun after promising on bringing her to one of the new cafe that just opened their business few blocks away from their college on her birthday.
"it's not even my idea to come here! he was the one who had been excited all along and kept on pestering me about the new cafe!", mumbled Irene, voice low enough that only her could hear it.
She lowkey cursed her own self in her head for agreeing to Taehyung's request in the first place.
Taehyung texted Juhyun this morning that he'll pick her up at her class after it ended as his class is few blocks away from hers.
Right after their classes ended, as always they would walked home together. Their plan was going on smoothly as planned but not until taehyung ditched her for his longtime crush, the one and only Im Yoona, the college sweetheart. The one beautiful lady that nobody would said otherwise about her beauty. She is smart, funny, and of course friendly, making every living men around her (especially taehyung) cooed at her being in everything she did.
As taehyung is her one year junior of the same course, somehow he managed to make his way up to approach yoona. They seems to be in a close junior-senior relationship. Not that she cares anyway. In juhyun's judgement, she doesn't even know how yoona sunbae coped with taehyung.
If anything, juhyun knows taehyung loves sweet things so much. Not to drink coffee, but he loves to eat sweet things like cakes and pastries.
Surprisingly, both juhyun and taehyung hate coffee. Not that they're allergic to it, it's just a matter of preference. It is a rare coincidence that these two best friends have the same trivial similarity, other than that, they are just so different. Way too different that leads to many disagreement upon such trivial matter most of the time. It is still a mystery how did they become best friends in the first place, not even their families understand.
Juhyun is not the type to care about celebrating such occasion like birthday or whatsoever, because to her, celebrating birthday is a waste of money. Her argument is
'Imagine celebrating the same occasion over and over again for every single year of your life, eating the same food called cake, throwing unnecessary party that wasted money and energy all in one day, just to celebrate that you manage to live throughout this shitty life??! What if you live for 100 years? You will eat cake for at least 100 times right!?!'
But of course, taehyung is the one who insists that she should celebrate her birthday no matter what her argument is. He will always bring juhyun to the cafe to buy cake or whatever juhyun's favourite food is, to celebrate her once in a year birthday. It has been like this since they first met. So it has been 4 birthdays that juhyun has been celebrating.
None of her logics can breakthrough taehyung's firm believe that one should celebrate their birthday no matter how much it cost. And as if she was under a spell, not wanting to argue with taehyung any further, she will just followed his order easily. Taehyung has that kind of strong influence on her that she can't even described what it is.
