Why did I even attempt to kiss him?
It took me a little minute to walk home. I didn't know what I'd say to Dylan when I saw him again. I was too embarrassed to even face him.I decided to eat, bathe, and nap. I was preparing myself to hear from mom later on when she got home, as to why I'm here already before she is. It's okay, I'll explain to her the truth.

"Vintage, what are you doing here?"
"I'll explain later mom, not now." I said calmly. I heard my phone ringing on the table next to my bed. It was Dylan calling me. "Excuse me." I said to my mom, walking past her.
"Hello?" I said.
"Vintage, What's wrong with you? You just kind of left me, and I searched the streets looking for you. I'm kind of stupid to not think you were home."
He sounded really concerned and almost deprived with fear.
"I just went home, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have did what I did."
"I wasn't freaked out, it was just a surprise. You CAN'T run off like that though Vintage. You had me terrified. For all I know, you could of got hit by a car."
"I'm sorry, you know how I get sometimes; kind of to myself."
"Yeah, I know. Well, I'll see ya at school tomorrow okay?"
"Okay."
**
I wasn't sure if I was even going to go to school tomorrow. I didn't wanna show my face.
I forgot mom was there. She was standing right behind me.
"Look young lady, I know you skipped school today, and I won't tolerate it. You know your responsibility, so I shouldn't have to remind you. We aren't going to dwell on this, but don't let me find out you aren't present at school again. There will be serious consequences for your actions."
I felt bad, but I felt even worse because she had to "find out" instead of me telling her. I tell mom everything..
"I'm really sorry mom, I didn't mean it. I was just having a bad day."
"You heard me, not again Vintage. Understand?".
"Understood."
I went back to my room.
"Looks like school is in tomorrow after all." I turned my lamp off, pulled my covers back, and went to sleep.
