Dylan's Pov
School was finally over. It was hard getting through those classes because my mind was somewhere else. I didn't remember one word any of my teachers said. I had to text Ms. Delerose to let her know to come get me.
I waited for about 10 minutes. The hospital wasn't at all far from our school. I walked outside, and she was just pulling up.
"Hey Hun, how was the rest of your day?" she asked me.
"It was....bad, actually. I couldn't focus really, and I barely paid attention."
We drove out of the school parking lot.
"Vintage is alright. She gained her consciousness back, but she lost memory temporarily. The ex-rays state she hit her head pretty hard. They said she will remember things as she goes. She's already recovering, so it won't be long."
That worried me, but most likely she will be okay. I was praying she would be.
We arrived at the hospital, and I have to admit, I rushed in there. Ms.Delerose yelled to me the room number, because I sort of left her behind. The room was #709, which meant I had to go on the elevator. I didn't have the patience for this.
I found Vintages room, and her eyes were open. She was staring to the right side of her, where the window was.
"Hey mom."
She looked at me like I was a stranger though.
"Hey Hun, how're you feeling?"
Looking at her with the patch on her head, and those tubes up her arm and nose made my heart drop to my stomach. I felt like she was in pain. I was totally useless..
I walked up to her. I glanced at Ms. Delerose, and she said cued that she was going to the restroom.
"Vintage. Hi.."
"How do you know my name."
"It's me, Dylan. Your best friend. You were just with me this morning."
"When I crashed?"
"Yes."
We were making progress, and it made me hopeful. Her memory was jogged.
Ms. Delerose came back in."Dylan, Vintage won't be going to school for a couple of weeks. I'd like it if you stayed at home with her while I work?" Ms. Delerose insisted.
"Umm. Of course. I'll just have to let my mom know."
I had school, but I guess I had an excuse not to be there for the next few weeks.
The doctors came in the room and said it was safe for Vin to return back home. There was no majors, just minor injuries. She had a minor concussion, but her memory was coming back already.

Ms. Delerose was driving, and I didn't know where to.
"Where do you live hun?"
She was taking me home.. I really wanted to stay.
"Right down Harrton here. Make a left, you'll be there. First house."
"You don't live at all far at all. Not even far from Vintage and I. You should have been visiting more, haha."
**
I said my goodbyes. "What are you saying bye for, get your clothes, and come back. Remember?"
"Oh, I'm coming back today?""Yes, Dylan."
**
We arrived right at their house. She was sleeping on my lap, so I just carried her in.
I put her in bed.
"You can sleep where you'd like."
"I think I'll stay in here with Vintage."
"Sure, anything that makes you comfortable."
I felt like this was home. I felt really comfortable. I laid down right next to her. She put her right hand on my chest, and her left around my arm. I actually liked cuddling.
