Dylan's Pov
"Vintage..Hey..Please open your eyes."
"Dude, what the hell were you doing?? You didn't know where your lane was or what? Are you blind, or are you just stupid!"
"Hey dude, I'm sorry. I was texting, it was important." the guy said.
"YOU WERE TEXTING?? YOU CALL THAT IMPORTANT? ON A FLIP PHONE?? IF IT WAS IMPORTANT, YOU WOULD'VE CALLED!"
The police came to cut me off.
"Sir, calm down."
"You sir, you calm down. He needs to be arrested."
It wasn't the car I was worried about. It was Vintage.
"Texting and driving isn't necessarily something we can arrest for."
"Fuck YOU." That conversation was over.
The police walked off with the guy. I saw the ambulance place Vintage on the gurney.
I walked over to the ambulance, and she was still out. Her mom pulled up right next to the ambulance.
"Where's my daughter?"
"She's right here Ms. Delerose."
She started to walk in my direction. I prepared myself for anything that would happen.
"Hi Dylan, how are you today?"
That's not at all how I thought she'd greet me.
"Hi Ms. Delerose. I'm fine. I'm more worried about Vin."
"Please, call me mom. You've been her best friend forever. Your like my son. Anyway, what happened??"
"That douche ran into us. We were at the red light, and it was his time to go. He said he was texting, which I'm totally against while driving. He wasn't paying attention, so he ran into us. I'm so sorry Ms. Delerose."
"I will take care of this, you go ahead on to school. I'm gonna follow the ambulance to the hospital to get her checked in. You come stop by later. She'll wanna see you."
She hugged me and said her goodbyes.
"Ms. Delerose..My car is kinda wrecked, and they're coming to tow it and fix it, could you give me a ride back?"
"Hop in."
She took me back to school. I was already supposed to be in 4th period. I just walked in, and blocked everything and everyone out.
