Her hallowing presence made me quiver with fear, I was eventually able to spill out my words and I cried,
"I don't actually want to be here."
Tears filled up my eyes and like a river trying not to burst it's banks, the pain was to much to hold back. I continued to explain,
"It's my Mother's fault, please just let me go!"
"Your Mother's fault you say?" Halli questioned.
"Yes! Now please just leave me alone! I didn't ask for any of this!"
She grabbed my hand and as she did I felt a sharp, electric like feeling shoot through my body.
"Let go of me!" I proclaimed.
"Oh Alex, wouldn't it be great if you could get away, away from your parents for a while." She sighed.
I tried to scream but as I opened my mouth the sound refused to spill out, my lungs became constricted and breathing was almost impossible. She squeezed my hand tightly and shut her eyes tight. Her hand become paralysingly cold and my hand grew number with the freezing spell that was taking over. I struggled to let go of her strong grip. She took a hold of my other hand and suddenly we were spinning, spinning so fast I could barely see. My vision became blurred then everything turned to darkness. I could still hear but only just enough to listen to Halli whispering.
"Just get away for a while." She repeated.
As my vision came back I found myself lying on the floor of the tree house, as I tried to sit up a familiar face was there to greet me. It was me, I suddenly laid back down, I had to be dreaming right? I mean how could I be staring myself in the face? There was no mirror there, it's impossible. Slowly I sat back up and there I was again, sat there looking back at me. I looked down at myself, I couldn't believe what had happened.
"Halli what've you done?" I yelled.
I stood up and glanced down at the pale white dress I was now wearing, myself, or Halli was stood in front of me. I looked down at my hands, they were as white as snow. My hair was long and wavy, feminine and nothing like my own.
"How and why did you do this?" I shouted, raising my fist.
"This is your break Alex, try being me for a change!" Halli chuckled.
I shook my head and responded,
"No, you can't do this!"
I tried to pull her back, but it was too late!
"Watch me!" She replied, as she began to climb down the ladder.
"You won't get a way with this!" I called after her.
It was too late to do anything, I couldn't chase after her. Who would my parents believe, some ghost girl or their own 'child'. They would be oblivious to the fact that it wasn't actually me and I'm sure Halli could be a pretty manipulative bitch when she wanted to be. She knew how to play a convincing role, a part of me thought that she'd played this trick before.
"Oh believe me Alex, I will." She shrieked as she ran towards the house.
