Crushed (Part 1) [Hatoful Boyfriend: Yuuya x Hiyoko]

Exactly thirty minutes went by before Yuuya entered the Infirmary as Shuu instructed, but Yuuya did not find him in the main room, no. Yuuya knew what this plan entailed, so he made a beeline straight to the back room; that's where he saw the Doctor's back. He was looming over a table and, as he heard his assistant walk in, Shuu turned and flashed a wicked smirk Yuuya's way.

Yuuya could see the two ends of the table and, even if he didn't already know what was going on, it was obvious to recognize that the thing on the table was a human body covered with a thin, blue sheet.

"Sakazaki, right on time," Shuu's voice had no emotion, despite his happier expression compared to usual.

"You should expect that of me, Doctor," Yuuya casually snapped a pair of rubber surgical gloves onto his hands after slipping on his medical smock and mask "so, who is the victim you have chosen?"

"Ho ho ho, well," the Doctor snickers "you might recognize her, so don't be too shocked," Iwamine pulled the sheet from the face as Yuuya stood across from him for the perfect view.

It was as if time had slowed down during the big reveal for Yuuya. Initially he was dreading this horrible day, but now that he saw that it was her face laying on that operating table— Hiyoko's face— the really bad day became an absolute nightmare.

Yuuya began to shake, jerking back and running into the counter behind him "H-Hiyoko, b-but why? Why did you choose her of all people?"

The Doctor shrugged "I know, it wasn't the smartest move since she was apart of our staff, but she was the most convenient. She was best friends with the carrier after all".

Yuuya wanted to cry. He wanted to scream. He wanted to lunge at the Doctor and murder him right on the spot— avenge her death— for what he did, but Yuuya remained composed.

Shuu shook his head "It's a shame, really, but you have to sometimes make sacrifices for science. It couldn't be helped because she was also the only non-shapeshifter in the school too. The virus only effects people who cannot turn into birds, you see".

Yuuya was sick of hearing him speak, but the only thing keeping him steady was the knowledge of him and Shuu's agreement that he wouldn't involve Sakuya.

Yuuya picked up the small table saw from the counter, readying it in his hands, bringing it down to Hiyoko's neck "Lets get to work".
