There are moments in life when your inner child comes out, and you have no control over the immaturity you proceed to act with, for example my inner child pops out over Christmas time, the lights, smells, cold weather and just the jolly atmosphere literally turn me into a five year old with a permanent smile on my face and never a sad feeling about me.

Jake's inner child appeared as soon as we got to the zoo and he saw the elephants.

I was the one who had to apologize to the family he had bowled over in his usain bolt impression to get to the enclosure, I'm not kidding, he actually knocked a six year old girl off her feet as he barged through the group.

There are only so many times you can apologize to someone for your friend making an elderly lady face plant into a bush too,so i was quick to say sorry then raced off after jake who was now attempting to climb the fence into the elephant pen.

"Jake get your ass down!" Matt hissed, grabbing the waist band of his jeans and successfully tugging jake back to the floor before any of the staff noticed him. "Seriously what is it with you and god damn elephants!"

Jake seemed to realize how ridiculous he was being and coughed awkwardly. "What? I really like elephants." He said, looking at the big grey creatures with an admiring look.

"We can kind of see that." Nate all but snorted as his friend, patting him on the back.

"Hey, you're no different when it comes to tree houses." Jake reminded him. Like i said, we all had our child like obsessions, Nate had a love for tree houses, you have no idea how distraught he was when hos dad pulled down the old one they had in their back yard, claiming Nate was far too old and big for it and it was unsafe.

Nate brushed him off with a shrug of his shoulders, a light grin touching hi slips.

"I'm starving, when's lunch?" Cora asked, and we all looked at her with raised eyebrows.

"Cora it's half past ten, you had breakfast an hour ago." Matt pointed out, and Cora threw him a look that said he wasn't making a valid point to her.

Seth, who knew Cora's eating habits just as well as i did offered to take her to the ice cream stand. "That should stop your stomach from eating itself." He joked as they walked off together.

"Alright, you've stared at the elephants long enough, lets keep looking." Matt told Jake and we all fell into a leisurely stroll, looking at all the animals we passed. Ty and i were walking side by side, and thankfully after our talk last night it wasn't awkward one bit, he kept getting pulled into conversations with Nate, matt and jake about cars and girls and whatever else boys talked about so i wandered away from them just a little bitso i could tune them out and concentrate on the animals...... I'm not going to lie this isn't as fun as it was when you're a kid, i mean i love animals but just walking around on a hot day looking at them got a bit boring

I was just reading the notice on the baboon enclosure when Nate came over to join me, "hey Reed." He greeted."What's up?" I asked, turning to grin at him.

"We're we boring you?" He asked, his face twisting with fake hurt. I rolled my eyes at him, "no Nate, but unfortunately i know nothing about cars and don't have nearly enough experience with girls to brag about it." I replied.

"Please, we weren't bragging about girls... well Jake was, but that's expected." He said with a laugh, and since i knew just how Jake was, i laughed too.

We found a spot to sit down, Seth and Cora brought us some drinks back." He said and pointed behind him where the group were sitting on a little grassy bit where a few other families had sat down to eat their picnics and what not,i realized i was pretty thirsty,so pushing past him i ran back over to everyone, hearing Nate's complaints about me cheating behind me.
