Your breath was sharp, and your heart weighed like a iron cauldron, you never enjoyed to speak of your sister. How you could've protected her. Despite seeing her when you were little, covered in fairy dust from tripping in mums potion ingredients after using the spell to rid of boggart, her sixteen year old self haunted you still. You remembered it so vividly.

There's a reason you moved after graduating. You couldn't stand to face your mother. Your two muggle parents. See, you and your sister were twins, and when you were eleven, you both got accepted into Britian's school for witches and wizards alike. Hogwarts.

Upon your sixth year, you both decided to sneak out, finding it all fun and giggles to explore the Forbidden Forest.

At first, you enjoyed it, until you both got lost. Then something, attacked you both. You couldn't remember it, it was a blur. You and your sister, you two used all the spells you knew in your minds to counter an attack. It was no use. Whatever it was, it made your sister drop her wand. The rest, the rest you don't remember. All you remember, is that last noise. The final "POP," before you saw your sister dead in the forest floor.

The next few weeks were blurs. You vaguely remember your 7th year. As soon as you graduated. You left. You left because your felt it your fault of how your sister was gone. How you were the one who begged her to attend Hogwarts when she read the letter she received. How you convinced her to leave the dorms. It was your fault.

You were much too lost within the terrible thoughts of your sister to realize Newt calling out your name. He stood behind you, calling your name several times, before tapping your shoulder, a soft "(Y/N)" left his mouth, before you snapped out of your day dreams- or, daymares.

"Oh, sorry Newt, I was lost on a train of thought." You mumbled, before his soft eyes met yours.
"Who was she? Was she... Was she you? Why would you blame yourself for your death?"

You stood silent, before pausing. "Should I start a kett-"

"(Y/N), are you alright?"

You stared at the floor. "I'll tell you over tea."

---

Once you shared the information with Newt, the oddest thing happened. As you had began crying while telling him, once you finished, something happened.

It made you think of her.

The heat of Newts body pulled you into a hug. "I'm quite sorry, (Y/N)."
