Gin

I need to pee so bad.

Ignoring the urge, I lean over the edge of the tall building's rooftop and snap an image of the demon leaving the skyscraper across the street. I take a couple in quick succession, trying to get a facial shot.

I managed to set up my hot spot this morning and the digital camera was preset by Owen to send the images directly to him as soon as they're taken. Even from this high up, I was able to sense several demons among the numerous human employees that have been in and out the large corporation. I've been here since early morning, out of sight behind the rooftop's edge, staking out DemGen, Corp.

Last night generated a lead in investigating the trio that had attacked Dylan. I got lucky, because while Art had taken off during the fight, he hadn't left completely, and ended up tailing the two that ran away. He came to me last night, telling me that the demons ended up at this medical research facility.

I already had been rushing home after talking to Owen, to pick up the van and meet up with the boys at the ER, when Art found me. After hearing the ghost's information, I was torn. Owen had told me he wasn't hurt very much, just wanted the burn to be checked out, but I still wanted to make sure he was okay. However, DemGen, Corp is the first real lead I've had in a while. I decided to risk Owen's wrath and asked Bowden to check on my brother.

I'm glad I thought of Bowden. I had barely been able to tell the demon what had occurred with the halfling before he was demanding the name of the hospital and hanging up. When I eventually got home last night, Owen was asleep on the couch. His hand was held in one of Bowden's, who was asleep on the floor, where we used to have a table.

When I first reached DemGen last night it was after midnight and the building was, unsurprisingly, closed. What was surprising was the amount of energy coming from the building. It was impossible to tell how many supernaturals there were, dozens at least, let alone single out the energy of the demons I was looking for.

I kept watch for several hours, after I found a way up to my current vantage point using some fire escapes and creative locksmithing. There was very little activity last night so I headed home just before dawn. By the time I'd showered and changed into fresh clothes, jeans and an oversized and comfy sweater under my jacket, Owen was awake and eating breakfast in the kitchen.

Despite our father running a restaurant and being an amazing cook, neither Owen nor I could handle more in the kitchen than boiling water. Since Bowden has some sort of crazy, protective instinct towards Owen due to the bracelet, he feels the need to make sure that my brother is eating properly and well. This has definitely been an advantage for me, because of all the delicious food the demon stocks our kitchen with. This morning Owen and I practically inhaled large stacks of freshly prepared pancakes in a matter of minutes.

I filled Owen in on what I'd found out while I prepared my stake out gear. Owen was already researching DemGen when I left again. Today I took the van, leaving it parked in a public garage several blocks away. I then traveled back here to the building across from the research facility and settled in. I've been crouched in mainly the same spot since around seven this morning.

There have been about twenty or so demons entering and exiting the building throughout the day. None that I recognized and no other types of supernaturals. The majority of employees that work there seem to be human. There is still a strong energy pull coming from the place, indicating that there is much more going on behind that walls than I will ever be able to find out by watching from the street.
