      Ugh, crowds.

The human employees, mostly human, of DemGen, Corp have been crowding around the front of the building since the start of the work day. If it were me, I would have gone home by now. I mean showing up to work to find it closed and roped off as a crime scene sounds like a day off to me.

I lean against one of the columns in the lobby, watching outside as the employees gossip among themselves, video taping and taking selfies. Local authorities are keeping the perimeter of the building while the higher ups are inside. After the crowd formed, they located their vehicles out to the backside of the building, but there were still some police officers passing through.

Most of the ones in the building are supernaturals, Office Cordova called in all his top contacts this morning when Mom called him. Apparently, there's an entire division of the FBI dedicated to these kinds of things.

Earlier in the basement, I'd left our human charges in the care of Alex, Owen and Dylan. Our cell phones we'd replaced days ago hadn't been specially tweaked to work within the strangely blocked DemGen building, so we still needed an exit route.

Between Bowden and me, we were able to clear the basement level in a relatively short amount of time. There were still some hostages in other rooms, both human and supernatural, while the security guards either fled or were exorcised. As we reached the elevator, the doors slid open to reveal Mom and Grandma, neither of which were surprised to see Bowden fighting at my side.

"Bowden, could you please pop in with Nathan and pick up some more antidote. He's worried the effects aren't permanent and might wear off quickly." Mom had spoken casually, as if she was asking Bowden to bring her bags in. I'm still waiting for an explanation, but very soon after that Cordova showed up with a supernatural version of a S.W.A.T. and it became so much of a zoo that I almost longed for more security guards to deal with.

Rosemary was contained and while she hasn't woken up yet Alex is keeping her reoccurring energy pulses staved off with a drip of the treatment him and Dad had created. We didn't use any on the others, since the effects are so temporary. They'll be held temporarily until either they are stabilized with their powers or a permanent solution is found.

Dad was brought here with Bowden as well, and him and Alex have been acting as the medical responders. I haven't had a chance to see Alex for more than a minute in the last several hours. Even now, I'm waiting for Alex to join me after making sure Rosemary is loaded up securely.

The main concern is the deteriorated health of the victims. While Rosemary gave them supernatural energies, she neglected their human care. During the day, they were controlled under Rosemary's strong psychic abilities. While the evil woman slept, they were kept in magically reinforced containment rooms. They've have an unstable diet and restrictions on all of their basic human functions. There's also their emotional and psychological damage, but that's going to be the worry of a lot of tomorrows.

The elevator opens and I turn, but its not Alex. Bowden strolls out and heads my way. He didn't come from anywhere, he used the cover of the elevator to take my parents, grandmother and Dylan back home already. All that's left is me, Alex, and Owen, who disappeared upstairs a little while ago.

I actually sent Owen on a small, little mission. No more fighting, just a little seek and destroy. The officials that spoke to me were naturally curious about the serums DemGen has developed. Hopefully, Owen can hack in and get to that information first. I don't feel comfortable with the idea of this practice being explored, for any purpose.
