One main thing on Wattpad is your story/poem/script or flash fiction!
Congratulations for starting it! It's a pretty cool thing to do.
Publishing your story, here on Wattpad is a breeze. It could be published in less than 2 minutes max. Or it'll go longer than that if your internet is bad and slow.
To publish your work, it has a few steps. They're easy to follow and easy to do.
1: Click on the box up on the top left of your page. The button should be
CREATE. But you could go the other way on go on your profile and a small drop drown menu would appear and then you click MY WORKS.
2: Click New Story.
3: A new page should come up and follow the instructions set on there.
4: Make sure that you fill in the categories section. It's what tell people the genre of you story. Please, DO NOT say that your story is Teen Fiction and it's actually under the Vampire catorgory. It really annoys people who are looking for a type of story and your one is completely different to what you said it was.
5: Feel free to tag your story. It's a better way of people to find your story.
6: RATINGS!
Ratings are really important. You don't want some person finding a G-rated one and the story is actually written as a R-rated one.
7: If you have a story in a different language, don't worry! It's completely ok, many people have their story written in a different language. Just please say if your story is in a different language 'cause if someone comes strolling around Wattpad and see's your story and feels drawn in. But when they click on it, it's Spanish. They'll be devastated.
You can change your language settings but clicking the language box and setting it on any language you want!
8: Once you've done all that. DON'T click Save and Publish. Click on the Save button only. You'll need a blurb!
9: Enter your blurb in the Description Box and click Save.
10: Now click the edit button beside your story. Now, you can click Save and Publish!
Now you have completed your first chapter of your story! TADAH!
