After the movie was over, I went home. As I'm riding around in my car I couldn't help but let my mind wander. I wonder why Eli thought it was ok to record another girl dancing on his friend. I know I probably am overthinking this because it's not like she was dancing on him, but still. Why is he looking at another female anyway? I wonder what he was doing over there. I wonder if he missed me. I wonder if he thought of me at all.

By now, it was 2 a.m. After driving around aimlessly for about 3 hours, I finally got home, I tried to call Eli again. No answer though. He was probably asleep. I came to the realization that him and I are just two people who think we're right. I don't think it's ok for him to assume I'm lying just based off of one tiny little thing. And he doesn't think it was a normal reaction to his question. I don't see what's wrong with my standpoint and he doesn't see what's wrong with his.

"If we continue down this road, who knows what's bound to happen." I thought to myself.

Walking in my house, I set my keys down on the table and I took off my jacket. As I was taking it off, the piece of paper fell out of my pocket. I was contemplating on whether or not I should even text the guy that was obviously flirting with me.

I walked over to the couch and sat down, after about 20 minutes of thinking, I decided to text him. I don't see the harm in talking to him. It wasn't like I was having sex with the guy. So there should be no reason why this could or would go the wrong way.

Me: "Hey. It's Mailan. You left your number with me at the restaurant." 2:22 a.m.

708-566-4378: "Hey Beautiful." 2:24 a.m.

I smiled at him calling me beautiful. I haven't heard that in a long time.

Me: "Lol hi. I have a question." 2:26 a.m.

708-566-4378: "I might have an answer. Whatcha' gotta ask me?" 2:28 a.m.

Me: "Do you always give your number out when u see someone attractive?" 2:30 a.m.

708-566-4378: "Lol nah. But you caught my eye." 2:32 a.m.

Me: " I'm flattered. But I must warn you I have a husband." 2:34 a.m.

708-566-4378: "And I must warn you, I'm not too worried about that. ;-)" 2:36 a.m.

Me: "And why aren't you? Just curious." 2:38 a.m.

708-566-4378: "If he was that important to you, you wouldn't be texting someone you know is interested in you. Therefore, makes me think he isn't doing his job right. But don't worry, you picked someone that can do you better one & that's me. ;-)" 2:40 a.m.

I was speechless. Elijah was important to me. How is it that someone I don't even know can make me feel so special, but someone I've been with for so long hasn't even spoken to me like we used to, in a very very long time.

Me: "How would you do you do me better?" 2:42 a.m.

Me: "How would you do that?" 2:46 a.m.

708-566-4378: "Share your location with me and you'll find out." 2:48 a.m.

Me: "Lol okay. I'm sharing it right now. I'll be waiting. ;-)" 2:50 a.m.
