Amelia buries her head in a notebook. She's half-designed the arrow. She just has to figure out the release mechanism. She began working as soon as Natasha let her out of a full day of questioning. That woman was quite thorough but it's not like they plan on launching a full-on assault. It wouldn't matter anyhow. Amelia's been on her own for a while and only Hydra came after her. She's in the wind. No one just lets a perfectly good child assassin walk away.

It's only a matter of time before someone comes looking for her. They're probably watching her now, waiting for an opportunity.

She's sharply pulled out of her thoughts when she rams into a body. Her notebook gets flung across the hallway and she falls flat on her back. She lets out a small groan, propping herself up to see who she ran into.

A boy with curly dirty blond rubs his head yet he still brandishes a smile. He stands up, extending his arm out, "You should watch where you're going."

She takes his hand warily. She never imagined anyone else her age being here. "So should you seeing as you ran into me."

"The name's Keener. Harley Keener." He introduces in what must be his 'suavest' voice. He laughs awkwardly. "I'm one of Mr. Stark's interns."

"Right. That's information I didn't need."

He picks up her notebook, looking over her scribbles. "And you're Doctor Banner's? I didn't know he had any."

"I just got in the other day." She plucks her notebook out of his hands.

"Oh, that makes sense. Are you busy right now?"

Amelia quirks an eyebrow. This boy is weird. She only begins to shake her head when he talks again. "Great, I wanna show you something."

"We just met."

"I know but it's really cool. You'll love it."

Despite everything logical that tells her not to, she follows the strange slightly insane boy to the elevator. The pair stand on opposite ends of the moving box. Amelia takes her pen out to continue working on her sketch.

Harley interlaces his fingers politely, rocking the balls of his feet. He periodically glances toward the girl beside him. After about the 5th time, she closes the notebook and turns toward him, "What exactly are you showing me?"

"You will have to wait and see. I don't think you ever gave me your name."

"I didn't. You may call me Amelia if you wish."

"Okay, Amelia. You have " The elevator door opens and Harley grabs her hand, leading her to a room at the end of the hallway. "I found this while exploring. It's so cool."

Amelia pulls a face, part of her wondering why she's letting this stranger guide her around like a puppy. "Exploring or trespassing?"

He answers her question with a grin, opening the door. The room is filled with an assortment of Avenger paraphernalia. Old weapons and suits. Even some merchandise. Specifically, Iron Man merchandise. It's not hard to guess who bought all of those. Amelia picks up a triangular purple eye mask with a white 'H' in the middle. "This place is like a museum."

Harley picks up Thor's belt putting his hand through it. "I know right. It's awesome!"

Amelia inspects one of Clint's old quivers, finding old candy in one of the arrows. She messes with the release mechanism, her mind working full time.  She rummages further into Clint's trash, collecting some of his older arrows.

Harley places one of Steve's old helmets on his head. "Look, I'm Captain America. I jump out of planes for fun."

"That's an impeccable impression."

"Oh come on, it's not deserving of at least a smile?"  He rounds so he's facing her with a  goofy grin. "You're kind of weird, you know that right? That's fine but if we're gonna be friends, you're going to need to loosen up."

Amelia jerks her head up. " Friends?"

"I'd love to be friends. Thanks for asking."

There's an unfamiliar stab in her heart. She may not show the emotion on her face but the glimmer in her eye says it all.  She shakes her head, gathering her previous demeanor. "I should be getting back to the lab."

As if on cue, the door slams shut. JARVIS speaks overhead, "There appears to be a rogue suit on the loose.   While Mr. Stark deals with the issue  you must stay in here."

Harley shrugs, "Guess we're in here for a  while. You're not claustrophobic  are you?"

JARVIS, how long are we stuck in here?"

"About half an hour, Miss."

Amelia taps her foot impatiently, glancing around. "No, thank you."

"You're kind of weird, you know that?"

"How are your climbing skills, Harley?" She asks before rummaging through the pile once more.

"I'd say pretty good, why?"

Amelia points out the vent on the ceiling. "That's our  way out of here."

"Oh, we're gonna get along great."

She grabs one of Clint's bows, notching a grapple arrow.  Her breath released as the arrow flies towards the vent, latching on. She grabs the trailing cord, forcing the vent open.  She takes a  few steps back before running and launching off a few stacked boxes. She grasps the edge of the vent, pulling herself up. She lets a rope down for Harley.

He grips it. "Forewarning, I failed this part of gym class."

Amelia rolls her eyes,  plant her feet firmly, and pulling him up as far as she can.  She stretches her hand out which he grips. Together they pull Harley into the unusually large vent.

He chuckles, laying on his back, "That was harder than expected."

A small vial bumps Amelia's leg.  She inspects it closely. "You should be more careful. A drop of this and your inhibitions are lowered to the point you can  hardly control what you say."

 "It's a truth serum?"

"Truth serums don't exist. That's a myth."

Harley grabs the perfume bottle, "Oh, really? Wanna test it out? Is it an ingest thing or a smelling thing?"

"It'd have to be ingested to have an effect."

"Great. Let's try it out. Who do you think? It might be fun on Thor or Tony. Maybe Natasha?"

Amelia looks at him like he grew a second head. "Romanoff would kill both of us. Not to mention there's absolutely no way we'd be able to give it to her. This is a childish idea anyway. I'm-"

Harley snaps his fingers, "I've got a perfect idea. Let's go."

"KEENER!"

Amelia and Harley both press themselves against a wall as Tony screams expletives. She turns  her head to him, "That's what you call a perfect idea?"

"I didn't think we'd find out he owns Area 51!"

Harley grabs her hand as Tony's footsteps loom closer. "Hope you're fast."

Amelia rolls her eyes but takes off running alongside him.
