I nervously gaze around the crowded room, "Oh Scheiße."
"What?"Dad asks.
I shake my head," Nothing, there's just a lot of people here."
"If it gets too much you can always leave, "Dad reassures me.
"Let's just get this over with."
I follow him into the giant crowd. Everyone is laughing and talking, it's definitely a strange experience. I get a few odd stares as we make our way through the room. I'm not used to having attention on me. I don't think teenagers usually get invited to Tony Stark's grand parties.
Speaking of which, Tony wobbles over to us with a drink in his hand, "Nice to see you guys made it."
"You forced us, Tony, "Dad deadpans. "We'd rather not be here."
"I'd rather be in the lab right now," I add." It's been a long week."
He waves us off," You two are no fun. Bruce, I want you to meet someone, you'll love her."
"Wha-"He tries to protest but Tony drags him away.
Now, what am I supposed to do? I'm completely stranded in an ocean of people. I feel a tug on my arm and I have to restrain myself from hurting that person. Oh, it's Thor.
"Lady Amelia, I would like for you to meet my fellow Asgardians."
"Um, okay," I obediently follow him to a group of people.
Thor pushes me in front of them, "This is the young Midgardian I was talking about."
"Lady Amelia, I presume," The blonde man greets.
I nod, "And you are?"
"I am Fandral, this is Volstagg, Hogun, and Lady Sif," He gestures to rest of the group.
Okay, I haven't embarrassed myself, yet. That's good. Just have to play it cool.
"Thor has told me all about you guys. It's nice to finally meet you, "I perfectly recite what Natasha and I rehearsed.
"Tiny Warrior, Thor has shown us footage of you fighting. Might I say, you must be a formidable opponent," Sif compliments.
I cringe on the inside, "Well, it's nothing compared to Asgardian fighting."
"This is true. Us Asgardians are quite skilled at combat, however, for your age you are exceptional."
Before I can answer Thor does it for me, "Not only can she fight, she is quite the genius. Not unlike Lady Jane."
As if on cue, Jane walks up. Like Jane Foster, the famous astrophysicist. She's one of the smartest people alive. I already got to meet Asgardians now I get to meet Jane Foster.
"Are you bragging again?" She smiles at him and they share a brief kiss. I notice Sif tenses up at the sight of this. Romance is weird. I don't think I'll ever do it.
Tony makes his way to us, "Your turn." I try to protest as he drags me across the room to a boy around my age with brown hair and eyes.
He stops me in front of him and scurries away. He holds his hand out, "Hi."
"Hey," I return the gesture.
"So, um, how do you know Mr. Stark?" He asks.
"He's my uncle," I explain."Well, sort of. He's my dad's friend. How about you?"
He runs his fingers through his hair, "It's kind of a long story."
"I'd be happy to listen," I smile.
