Emily casually waltzes into the ornate golden Asgardian throne room, nodding to the guards. 'Odin' sits on the throne, scepter in hand and maidens waiting on him. Emily scoffs, rolling her eyes, "Leave us."
They scurry off, as well as the guards in the room. Fake Odin sits up straight, very offended, "And who exactly are you to barge into MY-"
Emily walks straight up to the throne, placing a hand on Odin's shoulder, the disguise ripples away into Loki. She shakes her hand off like it burned. "To answer your question, I'm Emily. Just to recap: you're supposed to be dead but instead, you shipped Odi off to Earth."
"Odi? Are you talking about my father? Why have you given him such a nickname?"
"Because we're friends... and we have tea like every month. It's actually coming up soon so I'll have to go back to Earth but that's not important right now. I need the Tesseract."
Loki huffs, standing up to face her, "You are nothing, mortal. I am Loki-"
"Banner," she adds, a hand on her hip.
Loki stops, "What?
"Emily... Banner. I believe you know my dad?"
Loki's face hardens, "You're the Beast's offspring. Who'd ever want to procreate with that-"
Emily shifts into her greener self. "Finish that sentence. I dare you."
"I would but you keep interrupting me."
"Here's what I don't get. You're king of Asgard and you haven't done anything except put on a few plays. It seems like a far cry from the man who was terrible, the Avengers were formed. I mean, there's no enslavement or anything. And you had an Infinity Stone yet you wanted the Space Stone? It doesn't make sense...... Unless you were working for Thanos. According to his daughter, he is very mad at you and wants to fulfill some promise? I'm guessing you don't want that to happen."
Loki stiffens, then smirks. "Well, aren't you resourceful? It's a shame your father isn't around to see you."
"Sorry, I've had my fill of mind tricks for a while. Just give me the Tesseract."
"I don't have it."
"Lie."
"Odin hid it away to a location only he knows."
"Lie."
"I lost it."
"Big lie."
"You are insufferable," Loki complains.
Emily looks him up and down, "Are you looking into a mirror right now and talking to yourself?"
"Why do you even want the Tesseract?"
"I'm going to do the entire galaxy a favor and kill Thanos. I need the Space Stone so I can replicate it and draw him out. Thanos still needs to think the Power Stone is on Xandar for now. But the Space Stone has been everywhere, the location is constantly changing. I'm just going to make an illusion and trick Thanos."
"That's not as simple as you think, quim."
"Whatever you say, greasy meerkat. Can I see the Tesseract now?"
"Fine," Loki grumbles, turning back into fake Odin and walking off.
Emily follows him down to the Asgardian vault, walking with him past various impressive artifacts. "You guys just keep the Space Stone down here? That seems like a terrible idea."
"Here it is," Loki stops in front of the glowing blue cube. Emily reaches out for it but Loki stops her. "No mortal can handle that."
Emily lowers her hand and a ray of light surrounds the Tesseract. An exact copy appears next to it. "There. Complete with gamma radiation. Speaking of which..." she faces Loki with a mischevious smirk.
