As soon as, I step into the hotel room with Peter he turns on me, "Your dad is Tony Stark?!"

"No, my dad is Bruce Banner," I correct, " Tony adopted me after Sokovia."

"Bruce- Bruce Banner? He's your dad? Seriously!" Peter exclaims. "I can't believe you never told me you're the daughter of one of the greatest scientists alive! Is this your big secret?"

I smile slightly at the fact he didn't mention the Hulk. "Part of it, yes. It goes a lot deeper than that."

"Well, good thing we've got time."

I take a deep breath, "For the first fourteen years of my life, I was trained to be a human weapon, an assassin, whatever you want to call it. My mother and my step-father were my handlers but sometimes they lent me out to HYDRA. One day, someone killed my parents. That's also the day I got my powers. Anyway, after that, I wandered and found myself in New York where the Avengers found me. My evil aunt found where I was and decided to drug me so I could have emotions. I know it doesn't sound evil but that's a whole other story that has to do with my cousin. That's when I found out about my dad. Of course, then Ultron happened and my dad... After that, I was in a really bad place where I was really spiteful. So, I left. I didn't even talk to them until last month. "

He doesn't talk for a while, obviously trying to process everything. I look down, closing my eyes and preparing for the absolute worst. Peter places a hand on my shoulder, "You could've told me, Emily. You didn't have to hide any of this."

"I know, I just didn't want to think about it," I look down briefly before smiling again. "I think I also promised you I'd tell you about my powers."

My hands begin to glow brightly, "I can manipulate light and make it physical."

Peter's eyes widen, "Woah."

"I can make my body into pure light which allows me to travel at light speed and I can also see auras," I add, letting my multi-colored aura glow around me. "Other people only have one but I can absorb a portion of others. So I'm connected to them. It lets me track people, useful when most of the people you know tend to get into trouble."

"So you're connected to all these people?" Peter gestures to the light around me.

I nod, "I know when people are seriously injured and I feel it when they die."

"Feel it?"

"It's painful if it's a violent or sudden death or just unsettling when it's peaceful. What happens is their part of my aura returns to them as their life fades away," I explain.

He points at an orange part of my aura, "That part is pretty big, who's is it?"

"That would be Harley. The biggest ones are people who I've known for a long time or have a deep connection with them. So, of course, the Avengers are pretty big."

"So the most important people to you are the Avengers and Harley. You must really like him," He taunts.

My face heats up, "No, I don't. He's just my friend. Just like you and I, we're friends."

"You didn't even speak to any of the people you considered family for months but spent almost all your time with him," He points out.

"Well that's- it's like- we are just such good friends. I have a lot of baggage that I don't even like to deal with. I can't make someone else deal with that. I'm just not the type of person who could ever be more than a friend with someone. I'm actually still trying to figure out this whole 'friend' thing out."

"That's stupid. Don't get me wrong, your life is weird. You can be overbearing at times, completely irrational, forceful-"

I interrupt him, "Is there a point to this? And when have I been forceful?"
