For The Love of Pomegranates

Sitting here in my favorite coffee shop, at my favorite seat was once so comfortable but now, being observed by my two guy friends make me feel otherwise. 

"I know you are already 21, but you don't know that guy personally" Christoph said. Christoph is one of my small circle of friends, he was once my thesismate, and our friendship started there.

"The point is, nothing bad happened okay?" I said in my defense.

"Nathalie" he gave me a warning look.

"Oh don't give me that look. See? You are really the father of this group. Oldie" I tilted my head and shrugged.

"Young lady, if I was your dad, even if you are already an adult, I will ground you." he crossed his arms and leaned on the chair.

"Christoph, take your chill pill" 

"Whatever, hey Chase, back me up here dude" he looked at Chase but knowing Chase he already went to the hottest girl here in the cafe. Reminds me of Barney from How I Met Your Mother, but he's a little bit moderate.

"Ha Ha, even your wingman left you" 

"Nathalie" he sighed "Just don't trust too much, I know you okay? You are not like that. you are the person who has the biggest trust issue, that's why I am thinking that you kinda like this guy" he squinted his eyes.

"Christoph! please, stop being my Dad, I am not a kid anymore" I crossed my arms.

"I am just warning you, okay, you can befriend him, just don't let him in in your unit that much." 

"Yes father" I sighed.

"Good girl" he smiled at me. I may not have a father right now, but this guy right here became mine. But I think it was one of his traits that makes him single up until now. He hovers too much. Poor guy, I guess someone will surely love this trait of him, someday. I smiled at the thought. 

"Why are you smiling? Oh no Nathalie, something did really happen last night?" 

"Stop it will you, just go and do what Chase does, enjoy your life Christoph, you need that more than Chase."

"What? Picking up girls then leaving them the morning after. I don't like that" he drank his coffee after that.

"Suit yourself" 

"I am so great!" Chase exclaimed as he sat beside me.

"Gonna get laid tonight?" I asked.

"No, Nathalie do you really think I am always like that?" he squinted his eyes on me.

"Whatever Chase" Christoph and I said in unison.

"Tss, guys, don't be jealous, but hey Nathalie, you did great last night, getting a man in your unit." he winked at me.

"I told you it's not like that"

"Yeah, but the situation we saw won't justify what you said, that guy slept with just his boxers on you sofa, while you were sleeping at the sofa bed right beside your working area" he smirked.

"Chase!" I glared at him.

"Chase, let her, she'll regret this someday" Christoph said.

"No Christoph, she's gonna have so much fun, she'll probably invite that man again tonight since they are neighbors, or she would invite somebody else."

"No, no, no, Nathalie, I am calling Charm to accompany you tonight." Christoph said. Having guy friends sometimes stress the eff out of me, but at least they are not fake. It just really stresses me out.
