Liam POV
"You have to go to the mermaid that has the ability to grant your request." I heard the creature say to Bay.
"Who is this mermaid?" She questioned with eyebrows knotted in confusion.
"I cannot tell you who, but I will tell you something that could be of help. This mermaid has not yet discovered her abilities. She does not yet possess the power needed for the task you wish fulfilled." He explained. "Her potential rivals the most powerful of mermaids and she is also a descendant of Malia and another powerful sea dweller."
A forlorn expression crossed his face when speaking about the potential powerful mermaid. He almost looked mournful when speaking of the subject. There was definitely more to the story than he was letting on.
"How will I find her if she doesn't even know who she truly is yet?" Bay asked.
"All I can say is that she is closer than you might think." He vanished into the ocean depths leaving us with his final words.
"What was that about?" I asked.
"I don't know but we need to find this mermaid and fast." Bay remarked.
Aria POV
I was sitting with the girls and guys when I received a call from Liam. He explained to everyone what had gone on with his changing and the clue to solving Bay's permanent tail situation.
"Wait...you're a merman Liam?!" Niall exclaimed in shock.
The rest of the boys were also in a stupor. The news was starting to settle in as time progressed. The events that had just transpired almost seemed impossible.
"Yes, Niall." Liam chuckled seemingly unfazed by his new merman status.
"That's awesome!" Louis excitedly said.
Moments later we all decided to head down to the beach to meet up with Liam and Bay. It only took us a few minutes to get to our secret place.
"Bay! Liam! It's us." I shouted out trying to call their attention to our presence. Two heads popped out of the water a few seconds later.
"Hey guys." They both said.
"Hey." We replied.
A serious atmosphere took over the rock as we began discussing the mystery mermaid. We needed to find her before it was too late. If only we knew who it was.
The creature has said she was closer to Bay than she thought. But who could that be?
