Bay POVI opened my eyes but shut them again when I realized how bright it was. I was laying down on a white floor in a completely white room. I sat up and rubbed my forehead trying to get rid of the massive headache I had.
I attempted to stand up but fell down right after because of the pain coming off from my side. I looked down and noticed a bite mark, then all the memories came back. Where was I?
"Bailey." I heard the soft voice of a woman. I looked around trying to find the source of the woman. When I laid my eyes on her I was shocked. She was probably the most gorgeous person I've ever met, golden hair cascaded down her back and her pure green eyes seemed to be looking at my soul.
"Who are you?" I asked gazing up at her in awe.
"I'm Malia, the first mermaid. I have come to give you your new power and a message." The woman replied to me walking towards me and grabbing my hands. She helped me stand up and told me to follow her.
The whiteness of the room started fading out into a pale blue as we reached our destination. There was a hallway that separated two doors on each side. She stopped in the middle of the hallway and turned around looking me in the eye.
"This is where I must leave. Each door stands for a different choice than the other one does. You must choose one door and open it. You won't survive unless you pick the right door, but only mermaids get the choice. If you pick the correct door you will survive, return to your friends, and get your new power." Malia told be. I could hear the seriousness in her voice and I knew it was no time to fool around. I nodded my head before she left me alone in the hall.
One door was painted a dark brown wood color. The brown door was the tallest of the two. The other one a pale green. She felt the door's one soft, one hard. The soft door, which was the pale green one, would be an obvious choice. But, maybe that's what they were going for.
"When that kind of shark bites you you don't survive unless you pick the right door." Bay replayed what Malia had said in her mind over and over again. Did she mean that I was supposed to pick the right door? The thing is, there isn't a right door! There were two doors, a super tall door in the back of a super short door. They were right in front of each other not one door more to the left, and not one door more to the right.
I sat down against the wall next to the door and made a knocking noise from the hitting of my head to the wall. Knocking noise? Well what do you know there's another door. And it just happens to be facing to the right of the other doors. I felt around on the wall, well door, for a handle or an opening.
I finally found an opening and pulled the door open. Accept it wouldn't open. It's a push door isn't it. I pushed the door open and to my surprise started falling.
Maggie POV
"It's not my fault, it's your fault!" Harry yelled pointing his finger at me.
"Excuse me! How is this my fault? You're the one who should have manned up and saved her!" I snapped back. My goodness, the nerve of this boy.
"Well you should have gotten there faster. You're a mermaid, you have a tail, use it for something good."
"Shut up guys! While you've been fighting you've failed to notice that your best friend has a tail right now!" Aria exclaimed. She pointed to a Bay laying in the hospital bed.
"You're point being what?" Cole said a confuse expression settled on her face.
"We are in a hospital, with people. That don't know that mermaids exist!" Aria face palmed.
"Oh...we need to get her out right now!" Cole said.
Bay POV
"Congratulations! You picked the correct door. You may now return home." I heard Malia's voice in my head as I stopped falling. I opened my eyes and was greeted with a room filled with my friends.
I can't breath! "Help! I can't breath!" I managed to choke out. And once again I passed out.
