Chapter 27

Austin's Pov
Last night I told Sissy that I had a date with Brianna the next day, and my mom told her she had a girls night. So this morning we left the house around 8 so she wouldn't see us. We went to pick up Brianna, Elizabeth, and Kailani and went to Starbucks. We first get our drinks then go to sit down. "So we have to make sure that Sissy and Joshua don't find out about this baby shower" my mom says pulling out a book. "So we should write down some ideas cause we want to have it next week on Saturday" I say. "Ok so will it be at your house?" Kailani asks. "Yes, so we will need one of you to keep the two distracted" my mom says. "I'll do it" Kailani says. "Ok, great" mom says. "So maybe we can have tables with a white tablecloth and pink tulle on top" Brianna says. "And on each table a vase with some pink roses" Elizabeth says. "And we can probably have cakepops, cupcakes, and cake set up on a table or two" I say. "We should hang pink tulle and fairy lights wrapped around it" Kailani suggests. "What should we have for food?" mom asks. "Sandwiches, hot dogs, and burgers" I say. "That should be fine" mom says. "How about for games?" Kailani asks. "We can do that one game where you get some sticks and try to get as many pacifiers as you can" Elizabeth says. "And that one game where you have to guess what kind of chocolate is in the baby diaper" Brianna says. "And we could do that one where people have to cut a piece of string to guess how big her stomach" Kailani says. "And we should fill up baby bottles with soda and see who finishes first" I say. "I try think those should be enough games" my mom says finishing writing them in her book. "How about for prizes?" I ask. "We can give out in little baggies candy and a household item" I say. "Good idea" mom says. "Ok let's get going, we should start buying the stuff" mom says putting her stuff away and getting up. We head to Hobby Lobby, which was across the street. We got 15 white tablecloths, 100 yards of pink tulle, 12 glass vases, white and pink pearls, fairy lights, 48 white chair covers, 3 packs of sticks, 5 packs of pink paper bags, and a 3 rolls of ribbon. That came out to about $150. Then we went to Babies R Us and we bought 1 pack of baby bottles, which contained 3 bottles, 2 packs of baby pacifiers, which each contained 10 pacifiers, and a small box of diapers. That came out to about $45.  Then we went to Party City and got Hershey's chocolate, Milkyway chocolate, 3 musketeers chocolate, and Reese's chocolate. That came out to about $25. Then we went to Ross (my friends will understand this one) and got 3 packs of cooking spoons, 3 packs of baking supplies and 3 mini cupcake pans. That came out to about $65. Who ever knew cooking supplies were so expensive. We then go to FedEx and print out invitations.

I was impressed that my mom already had the invitations ready to print out. It's currently 4 pm and we are heading to Dos Coyotes. Around 6 we finish and we drop of the girls at their houses and then we head home. Before the girls leave we give them an invitation for their families. When we get to the house I help my mom unpack the things and put them in the shed in the backyard. After we are done I get in the shower. Afterwards I let in my dogs and try to find that dumb cat of my sister's. I finally find it under my bed and lure it out with some food. I put water and food for the dogs and the cat in the kitchen then I serve myself a bowl of cereal. Even though I already ate i was still hungry. Around 8 my mom comes down and asks if I want to see something with her. I got a cup of juice and went to sit down. My 2 bigger dogs followed me and played on the couch. My 2 smaller dogs and the cat followed my mom and played on the couch with her. Around 9 my sister comes back home. "Hey your back" my mom says turning around. "Yup, I'll be back I'm gonna change" Sissy says going upstairs. "Remember, she cant know" my mom says after she hears Sissy's door close. I nod. 5 minutes later she comes back down and gets her dog and sits next to me. Around 11 she goes to sleep. "Goodnight guys" Sissy says getting her dog.  "Goodnight sis." "Goodnight baby girl." After we hear her door close I start talking. "So how are we going to pass out the invites before next week?" I ask. "Dont worry I got it." "At what time do we want it at?" I ask. "At 2 pm" she says turning off the TV. "So Kailani is going to take the lovebirds and then the other 2 girls are going to come and ask the boys to come and help us set up." "Ok." "And I'll ask Brianna's mom to make the cakepops, Elizabeth's dad to make the hot dogs and burgers, and I'll make the sandwiches after Sissy falls asleep. I'll ask Kailani's parents to bring drinks and chips, and I'll order the cake the day before so you can go pick it up the day of the baby shower." "Ok, got it. I'll talk to Brandon and Jason tomorrow about helping out." "Ok thank you." "Yup, good night mom" I say getting up. "Good night." I go to my room with my dog following.
