It is currently Saturday and we are recently trying to leave my house to have lunch with Joshua's parents.
My mom went out with on a girls night out with her coworkers and Austin is on a date with Brianna, so we have no one to tell us to wake up or anything.
We barely made it to his house on time. We go inside and find his parents serving the food.
"Hey guys," Joshua's dad says.
"Hey," we both say sitting down.
"How are you guys?" his mom asks.
"We're fine," we say.
They bring the food and put each a plate of food in front of us.
They made ceviche (it's a Mexican seafood dish) and tostadas. As we eat we talk about how school was going.
After we finish eating we put our dishes in the sink. Joshua's mom and I wash the dishes and Joshua and his dad dry them and put them away.
"Can we talk to you guys about something?" Joshua asks his parents.
"Sure," his mom says.
We go to the table and sit down.
"Just try to stay calm and let us tell you the whole story before you say anything," Joshua says.
"I'm pregnant I say.
"And I'm the dad," Joshua says.
"I'm already twenty weeks and it's a girl."
"It happened in June," Joshua says.
His parents are speechless.
"I'm so happy for you guys," his mom says near tears and comes and hugs us.
