Chapter 35

Joshua's POV

I put on my watch on my wrist. "Babe are you almost ready?" I ask as I fix my tie. "Give me a few more minutes" Sissy says from the bathroom. I look myself over in the mirror we have in the room.

Sissy then comes out with Emily in her hands. She was wearing a maroon dress with black heels. She had her hair slightly curled.

Emily was wearing a cute little black dress with a bow in her hair. "You ready?" I ask as I give the a kiss on the forehead. "Yeah" Sissy smiles at me. We get in the car and drive off to Sissy's mom's house. I park the car and start getting Emily out of the car. We walk up to the door and Sissy unlocks it. "Mom we're here" she yells. "I'm in the kitchen." We walk over to the kitchen and there she was cooking. "Good morning guys" she says coming to give each of us a kiss on the forehead. I then pass her Emily. "We have to get going or else we are going to be late" I say. "Ok I'll see you guys soon" she says giving us a hug. "See you later mom." We then get back in the car. "You excited?" I ask as I begin to drive. "Nervous and excited" she gives me a shy smile. I grap her hand and kiss it. "Don't worry" I smile back. We drive for a good 30 minutes before we park. We get out and start walking towards the Seattle Center. We then go get our cap and gown. We had put stuff on our caps last week. The school thought it was best that we just pick them up at the center so we wouldn't ruin them. We then walk to our assigned steats. Since it was by last name and alphabetical Sissy and I were next to each other. We put on our cap and gown before we sit. "What's up loser" Sissy says to Austin who is sitting next to her. "What up guys" he says hugging Sissy and giving me a fist bump. "Are the others here yet?" I ask. "Yeah." "1 more hour" Sissy says excited. We all sat in front of the stage and all around us there was seats. (Like the Sleep Train Arena) Around 10 minutes later the teachers asked us to line up in the hallway. People started to show up. When it was finally 12 the graduation song started. (The song at every graduation) We then walked out of the hallway to our seats. Everyone was clapping and cheering. Once we sat down the principal gave a speech. I held onto Sissy's hand the whole time. After the speech they gave medals to people who had a certain GPA. "Brianna Alvarez" the principal announced. We cheered for her and she went and got her medal. "Kailani Diaz, Elizabeth Fernandez, Kamea Gates, Brandon Hays, Jason Law, Joshua Mendes, Sissy Menendez, Austin Menendez, Peyton Silver" we cheered till it was ou r turn to go up. I received my metal and shook everyone's hand. I then went back to my seat. When Sissy comes back I whisper in her ear. "Good job babe" I say then kiss her on the cheek. "You too" she whispers back. It was finally time to get our diplomas. We all got up and made lines by the stage. We waited and cheered for our friends. It was finally my turn. "Joshua Mendes." I walk on stage. I've got to admit I was pretty nervous. There was hella people here. I received my diploma and shook everyones hand. I then turned to the crowed of people and threw a gist in the air. I then go back to my seat. "Sissy Menendez." "Go babe!" I cheer. She got her diploma and shook everyone's hand. After, she turned to the crowed and put one hand on her hip and the other with the diploma in the air. I laughed at her. She then came to sit down. "Congrats babe." "You too" she says kissing my cheek. We then see that Austin went up. After he shook everyone's hand he did the most stupidest thing. He did the blockboy jb dance then the salsa. "Oh god" Sissy said with a chuckle. He then came and sat down. "Your a dumbass" she says. "I know" he smirks. She just rolls her eyes. About an hour and a half later everyone had got their diplomas and was sitting down. It was now time to throw our caps in the air. The principal counted down. "5...4...3...2...1!" Everyone threw them up and cheered. "Ok now family members, please wait outside for your children" the principal announced. We all gathered our caps. "We did it" Sissy says hugging me. "Yes we did." I lift up her chin and kiss her passionately. We then seperate and smile at each other. "We should find the others" I say. "Yeah." We then find our little group by the hallway. "Congrats guys!" Brianna says. "Yeah!" we all yell. We hug each other and Brianna insisted to take a picture. She took one and we were off to find our parents. About 10 minutes of searching for them we finally find them. "Congrats!" all our parents say. Sissy goes to hug her mom and dad and I go to hug mine. "We all talk amongst each other until my dad decides to take pictures. We take a ton of pictures and then we were off. We decided to just go eat. We ended up going to Cheesecake Factory. It was Brianna, her parents, her sister, Elizabeth, her parents, her brother, Kailani, her parents, Kamea, her parents, her brother, her sister, Sissy, her parents, Austin, Emily, Brandon, his parents, Jason, his parents, his sister, Peyton, his parents, his sister, my parents, and I. It was a total of 35 people. We were able to rent out a party room they had there. We all sat down and ordered our drinks. We all talked about we were planning to do now. We then ordered our food and continued to talk. Turns out that Brianna wants to become a fashion designer. Kailani wants to study history and take classes for writing. Kamea wants to become a journalist. Elizabeth wants to be a teacher. Sissy wants to be an ultrasound tech. Peyton wants to also be a journalist. Brandon, Jason, Austin, and I all want to play football. Our food then came. By the time we left the restaurant it was 6. "Are you guys going to the party?" I ask. They all nod. Sissy's mom had offered to have Emily stay over so we could have a free day. So we said goodbye to our families and went to our cars. Gabe, a guy on the football team was having a party at his house for the whole school. Sissy and I then head back to the car. "We are finally done with school!" Sissy says. "Yes we are!" We head home to go change. I put on some black ripped jeans, a black shirt, and black converse. Sissy changed into some black ripped jeans, a black crop top, and black converse. Yes we wanted to match. "Ready?" I ask as I hug her from behind and resting my head on her shoulder. "Yeah." We then head to Gabe's house. When we get there you could hear the music blasting. We walk in and you could already smell the alcohol. "Hey you guy are here" Elizabeth slurred out. "How drunk are you" Sissy says putting her hand on her hip. "I just had a few drinks" she slurrs leaning on Sissy. "Hey guys" Jason also slurrs out. Like didn't they just get here. How are they already that drunk. "What's up man" I say giving him a bro hug. "Where are the others?" Sissy asks. "Getting drinks, they just got here" Jason says. We walk over and grab some drinks. "God I've missed this" Sissy says taking another sip of her beer. "I forgot you couldn't have any" I say. "Sissy!" Brianna says. "Hey." "Come dance with me. Austin doesn't want to" she says. "Ok come on" she chuckles and gets up. I see as they dance with the other girls to Solo by Clean Bandit and Demi Lovato. (Hope you get better Demi) "When are we gonna tell them" Austin says sitting down next to me. "Well it's next month that we want to do it, so how about in a week" I say completely forgetting. "You planning on doing it over there?" he asks. "Yeah" I say with a smile. "The boys and I wanted to do it to" he says with a huge smile. "Did you guys already ask?" I ask. "Yeah, how about you." "Yeah." "Come on let's go with the girls" Austin says getting up. We go to them and start dancing with them. "I'm gonna get another drink" Sissy yells over the music. I nod and she goes off to get another one. She them walks back with 2 beers. "Here you go" she says handing me one. "Thanks." We danced for a few more minutes till we went to get another drink. "We should go in the pool" Sissy slurrs out. I think she was on her 6th beer. I think I was too. "We got no clothes" I slur out. "No one does, come on" she says pulling me outside. There was people in the pool with only their undergarments. We stripped down to our undergarments. Sissy and I then jump in at the same time. We then come back up to the surface and laugh. I the hugged her. She wrapped her legs around my waist and kissed me. After we seperate she immediately splashes me. "You did not just do that" I say laughing. "You bet I did!" I say splashed her back and we continued for a while. "Let's go flip them over" Sissy whispers in my ear. I see who she was talking about. It was Austin and Brianna on a floaty. A smirk grows on my face. We then swim under the water and once we are under them, we come up and flip them over causing a big splash. "What the fuck!" I hear Austin say. "Come on!" Brianna says. We burst out laughing. "You little asswipe" Austin says glaring at me. "Hey it was your sister's idea" I say laughing. "Joshua!" Sissy slaps my chest. "Your gonna get it Sissy!" Brianna says swimming over to her. She just stays there. Once Brianna made her way to Sissy, Sissy picked her up and threw her. "Good job babe" I say giving her a high five. Austin then comes up being Sissy and throws her. "Austin!" she yells. "That's what you get for throwing my girlfriend!" he says with a smirk. She then swims over to him. He tries pushing her back but he couldn't and she pulled up his boxers giving him a wedgie. "Ow!" "Haha!" "CHICKEN FIGHT!" Elizabeth and Jason yell while jumping in. "Yes!" Sissy says excitedly. "Come on" I say to her. I then let her climb on my shoulders. We waited for the others. Elizabeth was partnered with Jason, Kailani with Brandon, Brianna with Austin, and Kamea with Peyton. We all went for each other. Sissy was trying to knock off Kailani while Elizabeth was trying to knock off Kamea and Brianna. Sissy grabs Kailani's arms and pulls her off. "Ha!" she says sticking out her tongue. We turn to the others and Brianna's back was facing. A smirk grew on both of our faces. I make my way over to her and Sissy wraps her arms around her waist and pulls her off. "What the fuck!" Austin and Brianna say. "That's what you guys get!" we say. Now it was Elizabeth, Jason, Kamea, and Peyton. Kamea pushed Sissy back but she hung on. Elizabeth then grabbed Sissy's arm and pulled her. She pulled back and almost brought down Elizabeth. Peyton then came over to us and Sissy kicked him in the stomach which made him double over and she then pulled Kamea off. Now it was only Elizabeth and Jason. "Oh it's on" Sissy says with a smirk. "Your gonna lose" Elizabeth responds with a smirk. I got kicked by Elizabeth on the side while she was grabbing Sissy's arms. "These two are very competitive" Jason says. "You got that right." Sissy grabs Elizabeth's arms in one hand the grabs her waist with the other and brings her down. "Yes!" Sissy cheers. I set her down. "Well done babe" I smirk. "You too" she pecks my lips. "Losers!" both Sissy and I say. We were having a blast. I could choose this over anything else.
